No mate, we got the money plus Regis for Rammell. Check out page 3. And it seems like I underestimated the amount, which they say was £150,000.

our defence is diabolical, they fall apart at the first sight of pressure, scott wiseman even tho' vastly improved and gives it his all still doesn't look good enough for this level, neither does kennedy and now it looks as tho both are on their way.
I just hope danny Wilson has got replacements sorted.
I suspect both players will do much better lower down, there are a lot of ex premiership forwards and wingers in the championship, its no wonder they've struggled.

So if you take money to do a job you know you can't do it's not dishonest? I can't fit ovens but give me £500 and I will have at fitting yours. I'll try my best too- honest gov'.

What you've done is fallen into the trap typical of the simple football for who a perceived level effort will always be just enough.

Wiseman, Kennedy, Dawson and the like are definitely honest as they always give 100% on the field, the problem is that they're not good enough for the Championship, but lets be fair they are not to blame, its the numpty that brought them that should be blamed. I admit watching the aforementioned can be frustrating especially as we're constantly getting beat but lets get off their backs for gods sake and start to look at the reason for our despise, Hill!

    Nope.

Anyone who watches Kennedy and Wiseman jog back without a care in the World time and again will know thats an incorrect statement

Can't say I'm that bothered if he's gone. He had pace though, which Danny says he wants apparently? Did ok as a centre half in a back three, but was never that impressed with him as a full back, not enough going forward, which is a crucial part of a full back's game in modern football... Bloody stupid looking beard n all, Mr Tumnus.

Yeah well I've not fallen into the trap of replying substantively to a paragraph - your second in this case - that makes no sense to me.

    Nor anyone else, I suspect.

I honestly believe that there's a good player in there somewhere and I do think that how bad he really was as got slightly exaggerated over time and hopefully he get his confidence back at Preston, good luck Scott I hope it works out for you. Having said all that I totally trust Danny and I feel confident he will turn things around and bring the feel good factor back to oakwell.

It was 5 tweets was`nt it? I agree that it should not have happened but hardly "all the dross you were subject to here at times ".
It was blown all out of proportion by the apologists for Wiseman! His sister was a complete arse with abuse of Barnsley fans, too.

Wilson has confirmed he's leaving. Rob Staton tweeted saying it will be confirmed today.

All the best Scott. Big thanks for your contributions, especially in the second half of last season.

    interesting...

Transfer window: Scott Wiseman joins Preston from Barnsley
Preston have signed defender Scott Wiseman from Championship side Barnsley on a free transfer.

The 28-year-old has signed an 18-month deal at Deepdale and becomes the club's second capture of the transfer window.

"We have looked at it and thought that area of the pitch is somewhere we need to strengthen," manager Simon Grayson told BBC Radio Lancashire.

"He turned down a couple of Championship clubs to join us and still has a hunger to be successful."

Wiseman made his international debut for Gibraltar last year in the island's first ever match, which finished 0-0 against Slovakia.

Grayson added: "It is pleasing because he sees what we are trying to achieve. We feel we have another good addition to the squad and it gives us some flexibility within the team."

just out of interest, how long will you be giving the new breed, before you start to incessantly berate them? i just want to bask in the sunshine of your new, happier ways for a while..

What do you want me to say? These players have won three times in 27 attempts. How anyone can praise the majority of them is beyond me.

They're to blame for the situation we are in. Not people like me.

He was close to signing for Blackpool (until the end of the season) but Preston offered him a much longer contract.

    Ince:

    “A right-back is our priority."

“Clubs aren’t willing to let go of their best players, so we are having to look a bit deeper."

“We were close to getting one, but he went to a League One club, which was disappointing."

If we sold him fro a nominal fee wouldn't we also save the wages?
