    If Derby still played at the Baseball Ground circa 70's early 80's every match would be postponed if today's decision at Charlton is anything to go by...End to end mud..Oh happy days.::)


    That should be "Ground"

    Went once to watch Barnsley. There wasn't a blade of grass in the ground. It looked like Cleethorpes beach, and the ball played like a Christmas pudding. Reight laikers in them days, tha knows! No question of postponing it.

    Apparently Cloughie used to get the groundsman to flood the pitch, did it at Forest too. I love to watch the old footage and the state of the pitches, Chelsea and Old Trafford were sandy as well if I remember.

    Absolutely correct SJ. I thought the exact same when I saw footage of the pitch at Charlton today.

    A wee bitty water on the pitch and a tad muddy in places. Put off because it could be dangerous.

    WTF is that all about?
