Why should the club pay back those who didn't put their custom into our club by making their way to the game on an official coach?

At least the Charlton pitch was knackered from mother nature. Nothing sinister in it. Did you think we should pay those Crystal Palace fans a few years ago who arrived at Oakwell for nothing when the official website showed a clean pitch and the sun was out, and it was called off due to surrounding areas?

it was knackered by poor maintenance, ignoring vital things to save money while spending 10s of millions on players and by making little attempt to actually clear the standing water

not suggesting there's anything sinister. just complete ineptitude from charlton. not sure why you're trying to defend them, tbh. the pitch has been under a dome cover for days. absolutely nothing whatsoever happened overnight or this morning, that could have worsened the playing surface from yesterday. this game should have been called off yesterday, without any doubt. 100's of barnsley fans travelled for no reason whatsoever, at their own cost. totally indefensible.

If the forecast was for dry weather then they should have taken the cover off, it might have actually dried out.

the cover (if they used it properly) isn't just a cover it's a heater and things too. their main problem was not using a roller/sponge

Didn't get anything when the Hib's pre-season friendly got called off.

Was a good day / night out in Edinburgh though. So not all bad.

Must admit I will be annoyed if there isn't some gesture I have a match ticket bought in my name and the BFC know my home address is Farnham, and I have a day return ticket From Farnham to Charlton so I couldn't have more proof. Guessing the fact I spent far more in the pub than expected isn't refundable though

sent a message to bfc on twitter i have to send my ticket back with a cover letter and they will refund it as regards the travel costs it doesnt matter to me for what it cost(i work on the railway) but for those that spent a lot of money on train tickets etc charlton should be the ones paying so send all the proof to them i would say, ben mansford was quick to issue a press release and interview which compared to the old days was brilliant well done ben and see what you can do for inconvienienced fans
