Very first halfer lager at the Furnace darn Milton. Then Olivers Ale House up Hoyland. I DJed there too every thursday for a load of Hells Angels, Satan's Slaves who'd come in from Wakefield and would growl at me for playing David Bowie. Great days. :D

Market inn in town, the mecca for underage drinkers in the mid 60's about 1966 for me, drunk on 2 halves of Barnsley Bitter, I wish I was now, would save me fortune.

It'll have been about 83/84, we were still at school. Myself and a lad called Andy Roberts, who has sadly now passed away. He had the heavy stuff DC, Motorhead etc and I had a bit of UK punk & new wave, Stooges, Ramones, NY Dolls, T-Rex etc - so we used to mix it up a bit. Andy's records always went down better with the bikers. They loved us though, the bikers - double hard they were n'all.

My pal Helen calls me P-Dog for some reason. Her Dad is Alan Price from the Animals. I met him, lovely bloke.
