Just seen a comment on the BBC page that Tiote's disallowed goal against Man City was the best ever. It was a good hit but there'll have been better Anyone remember Tom Williams scoring an absolute worldy for us on the full volley just as the ref blew the half time whistle? Was by far the best moment he ever produced and it didn't count. Has there ever been any other such instances?
There was a famous one in the World Cup someone scored right as the ref blew for full time. Can't remember the exact game at the moment, will have a look
Brazil, and Clive Thomas was the ref.He allowed a corner to be taken then blew the whistle as the ball came over.
The game I'm thinking of was when Clive Thomas disallowed a "goal" by Zico as he blew the final whistle. It was the 1978 World Cup game versus Sweden.
Lewandowski in last season champions league final when Bayern man u'd Dortmund. Never a foul for the disallowed goal. Dante should have been sent off twice in the game and especially for the pen. Plus Rubary flying in and connecting with an elbow. Think this would have put Dortmund in front. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qkga2hU7efI&feature=youtube_gdata_player
Just seen Liverpool's penalty decision against Stoke - that makes 2 absolutely terrible decisions by the refs today.
