Hmmmm. "if Michael Appleton hadn't left I'd be a Blackpool player" "I've been wanting to leave.. didn't enjoy it (at BFC) from day one" https://audioboo.fm/boos/1846064-audio-bbclancashire-wolves-2-preston-0-scott-wiseman
Hope he enjoys the rest of his career wherever he plays, he tried and failed , just not good enough often enough. Glad he has gone though.
Came on for 30 minutes yesterday, missed a free header, looked soft and "out of his depth". So say PNE fans. Good luck to him.
Totally agree with that, it was the people who kept picking him to blame not Scott, they shold have seen what we all saw that he wasn't Championship quality and then let him take all ****.
Bye Scott. I won't ever have to endure your confusion dealing with a simple bouncing ball ever again.
Ha ha, same here, crap player, good riddance. Speaks as fast as he runs, probably leaves no time for thinking, which would make sense.
Exactly if he hated it that much he would have asked for a transfer instead of picking up his wages for **** all
Can't blame him. Made the mistake of not being Bobby, which wasn't his fault. Awful the abuse he got, almost from day one. He was excellent is last season's run in and did as much as anyone in that run. On a related note, I remember when Bobby came on for Delap last season and Scott and Bobby had cracking games, and every time one made a tackle they were straight over to acknowledge each other. Great to see, and a mark of the man Bobby is.
Very stupid thing to openly admit that Scott......"never enjoyed it from first minute". You were given a chance at Championship football, by your mate Keith Hill........and both of you messed it up and are now back where you belong. Goodbye.
Painful to watch for 75% of his time with the club. I've wanted you to leave too Scott, glad we both got our wish.
15 good games in his career at Barnsley is not good enough ! Also I think you have hit the nail on the head with the Hassell connection, no doubting that ALL the defence looked a lot better when Bobby plays, he talks and encourages the others and leads by example.
For real? Abused from day one was he? I must have slept through that mate. And no way was he as good as you've just made out in the run-in last season. He was much improved (from gash) yes, and had a couple of very good games. But he didn't do "as much as anyone" in that run. In my opinion. The lad wasn't to blame for not being good enough but still getting selected. It wasn't his fault that Hassell was the better but ignored player. But it was just two dicckheads who tweeted abuse to him, and a few morons booed him once. It was hardly the barrage of stick that's been painted out since. Unless we're counting the threads/posts on here that suggested he was gash and shouldn't play as 'abuse' as well? As Nicky Eaden said at the time, the lad needs to find a spine if he can't handle a bit of criticism. It comes with the territory. His improved displays and the fact most people assumed he'd turned down Blackpool to stay and fight for us (which wasn't the case) led to him receiving bucket loads of praise. And rightly so. But it's my opinion that there was no need whatsoever for him to come out with the stuff he's said in that interview. He went with the majority of us wishing him well on Friday. I even said I'd have preferred him to have stayed. But that interview has lowered my opinion of him. But still, good luck to him, but I guarantee that if he repeats the performances he put in here, at Deepdale, he'll be judged similarly. Such is football.
Sorry but he made the mistake of performing terribly up to the point where Flitcroft took over last season. He had some excellent games at the end of last season and has reverted to type this year - his performances this season has been massively overhyped, probably due to the clown on the other flank making him look like Cafu in his prime.
Agree with that.He had a really good second half of last season and ended up being a massive player in our great escape.Good luck from me Scott,I don't hold grudges.
