Really hope not. Very poor player at this level. He scores a few goals but nowhere near as many as needed to justify playing him when you consider how bad his hold up play is Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
He hasn't been on loan this season. And he scored 19 goals in 60 games for us... Not a bad record IMO.
I'd take him back in a heartbeat. Him and COG would be a terrific partnership. Short memories on here.
Best thing we did getting rid of Davies, it allowed us to have a proper partnership up front & we started winning games. Agree on short memories. Too many people think Davies is good based on one performance against Birmingham. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I based it on more than the one game, although he was an animal that day. He was poor in his last ten games or so no doubt, but he was pretty special on many other occasions especially in his first season. It's only an opinion though, but I'd like to see him back here.
Has the infamous 'touch of a rapist' but he can't half knock em in from 25 yards. More threatening for defenders than COG imo - would take him back.
Hope not Apart from the Birmingham game last season, he was a shadow of the player he was when he had Vaz Te playing with him.
I'd rather we didn't, was obvious the guy thought he was better than us so I'm not sure what his attitude would be like if he came back.
Even shorter memory if you forgot how petulant he was in the month or 2 leading up to him leaving us, and how noticably the dressing room morale was boosted when he left.
would be a backward step for me, personally. his attitude was very poor in his final months, and a lot of people remember that. not for me.
Suffered from the same problem as o'grady Getting dragged down into oakwell's big slope into both left hand corner flags
Oh I remember it. But I remember him being decent as well. And we need a goalscorer, a threat from all angles. Davies provided that. But it's only my opinion and mine looks to be in the minority.
Oh I remember how good he was birmingham away sort of time not debating that just think he seemed to have a serious negative influence on the dressing room which is certainly not what we need right now!
I'm with you Whitey I'd have him back any day, if we're basing it on football ability (after he's finally controlled the ball) and not assumptions about his personality then why not? Always thought him and COG together would have been beastly.
To be fair though, most of the team wern't half as good after Vaz Te left. Don't want him back here though. Backwards step.
