I was only young during the premiership season so didn't go to many away matches . What were away followings like during that season Did we sell out most matches Only ones I went to were Leeds,Wednesday ,man utd twice Sure we sold upper and lower at Wednesday plus the corner , but may be wrong
Having been to all away games the season before and having a season ticket from the start of the promotion season i was first in line for away tickets and got them all so it was never a problem for me, nearly every game was sold out and some silly prices where paid for certain games on the black market some tickets where like gold dust
Thanks for that Can you remember how much tickets were for Chelsea away Always remember that game never been on the clubs DVDs haha Did we even sell out for the palace game midweek
Went to Arsenal Bolton Coventry Leeds Southampton Aston Villa West Ham Man utd fa cup Newcastle fa cup Away that season
£28 - no half price for kids Follwing we did not sell out away Palace Everton Wimbeldon Southampton Spurs Bolton WHU Coventry Villa Blackburn Newcastle (think)
Palace yes i think we did But Wimbledon at the same ground was one of the games we didn't sell out, we got a smaller allication for the palace game with it being their first home game and a massive game with us being a team they had a chance of beating they sold all their tickets i think the reason we sold ours for a Tuesday night game against a team we played the season before and a ground we'd be visiting twice was for the same reasons they sold all theirs
Your right about WHU because you can see all the empty seats behind net . Even more empty seats after the 6th goal went I
I think we sold out Newcastle for league but not the cup or other way round trying to remember and it was a long time ago and i've been to many a game since then and can't clearly remember when i went where which game was when
Best thing about West Ham away was that they'd been giving rice crispy squares that had just been brought out away as we walked in, when the first goal went in all you could see was these blue things wizzing past ya head, then people picking them back up at half time and eating them
Haha, they had them at the very first game I ever went to. We went from school and it was at home to Everton. We got about 7 each (we kept going to all the different people handing them out who were just glad to be getting rid of them), and our teachers didn't stop us. Remember 3 or 4 kids throwing up after the match as they'd eaten that many.
The cup game we took about 8 thousand fans, but they split us up into 3 different sections of the ground.
