Not to my recollection, I only played a season in the Barnsley League then moved to Huddersfield League.

Probably played against you then. Played for Penistone and Kexborough when they were in the Drakes.

Forgot about this and just asked my wife about it this morning. I got it completely wrong. Serves me right for opening my big trap without knowing the facts.

In PE they do play various forms of quick cricket like I said, but in the summer term they play proper cricket too. They have a sports teacher who comes in to take training sessions and they enter various competitions. They have both a girls and a boys team. Also, one of the newer teachers is going to start a cricket club this summer, one evening a week after school, open to all the kids to teach the skills of the game and have a bit of fun. It'll be practice for those who want to play in the team, but also give an opportunity for those who don't want to play competitively to enjoy the game.

Soz for the load of ballacks I posted originally.

Barely played cricket at school (Willowgarth) when I was a kid in the 80's
