Hard to pick a MOTM out of these 2, Fantastic performance from both.

MOTM could have come from JOB, COG, McLaughlin, Jennings, Dawson, Kennedy or Cranie and I wouldn't have complained.

Today has given me hope I was impressed with all 3 new lads a lot more pace in the side and when they develop an understanding it can only get better.sorry I regard Jennings as a new lad because he looks match fit at last and ran his blood to water today!

    and heres another positive too

Danny gave RNL and Digby a run out too, albeit a brief one. That can only boost those two lads confidences. Danny knows what he is doing, just hope we did not get him here too late.

Must have been to a different game, he was average at best, never won a header ( 6 foot 3!) his display was only bettered by Noble Lazarus for disappointment.
Noble Lazarus is making it very difficult for managers to pick him if he cannot trap or kick a ball.

I think we mustave. rnl was wanak when he came on and only then we struggled down the right, prior to that, the lad from Liverpool and Shea dominated the right wing, linking up really well. From where I was sat in the ponty Shea played solid.

We've scored two goals, could have had more, kept a clean sheet and gained three valuable points. Yet some folk still have to criticise individual players. There's really no need. We won, they all contributed, can't we just be satisfied or does every player have to be faultless for 95 minutes?

We've not won on a Saturday for over 3 months and spent most of these Saturday evenings laying into the players (rightly so, on occasions). Can't we just bask in the glory of a rare victory and clean sheet? Praise all fourteen players who pulled on the red shirt today? I am.

Well played the lot of em. Personal favourite being Jim O'Brien who has easily been our best laiker since Danny returned and deserved the MOTM award. But then, I was impressed by them all. Kennedy and Dawson much improved. Centre halves did their jobs by and large. McLaughlin looks on that display very likely to be as effective a right back as you can ask for at this level. Good going forwards, great defensively. It's been a while since I could say that about our right back.
Mellis had his moments, Jennings looks fitter and thus the type of player we were all expecting in the Summer. Shea was at least a threat to the opposition, but needs to work on his shooting before the Wednesday game, and O'Grady is back. Looks every bit the £1.5m striker folk reckon he isn't when he laiks like that.
Oh, and Steele commanded his box well, did what he had to, and the subs came on and helped us see out the victory.

    Well played one and all.

Onto Hillsborough we go (in 14 chuffing days).

You 'already dreading next weekend without a tarn match' Reds.

No idea if I'm being honest. The way games have been shifted/postponed etc I've lost all bearings. Is it a midweek game, because if so I'll miss it anyway. Basterd. (not you, the situation). :)

Mine was between Shea, McLaughlin and Jennings. Not sure who I would pick out of them. O'Brien also deserves a special mention and I dno't disagree with that decision at all. Shea looked class from where I was ESU central. Rubeun was the only real weak link today, I was pleased when he came on, but he didn't impress me.

Felt Shea did well after a shaky first 10 mins. McLaughlin, O'Brien, O'Grady & Jennings were the standouts for me.

Only disappointments were Mellis & Reuben but neither of them were poor just not as good as the rest.

Well done to Kennedy, his best game since the Wednesday match.

I was delighted with the squad. Wilson's worked out M'Voto & Wiseman aren't up to it & that McCourt's an impact player in 4 weeks, it took Flitcroft 5 months & he'd still not worked it out!

Onwards & upwards after that, can't wait for the next game, just gutted we've got to wait 10 days!
