Steele 7 - Couple of good saves but nothing exceptional. The majority of his kicking was decent. Couple of crosses that he could have caught in my opinion but generally commanding of his box.

McLaughlin 8 - I hope that's cleared up any argument about whether Wiseman was a decent right back. Pacey going forward, not afraid to take on his man, tough in the tackle, but more importantly he was actually in his position defensively when he needed to be. Excellent start for such a young player.

Cranie & Ramage 7 - Putting them together as they were pretty untested. Thought Ramage was quite strong in the air today and made a couple of decent blocks too.

Kennedy 6.5 - As everyone knows I'm just about his biggest critic. Defensively he was good today, though fairly untested. His distribution is still hugely disappointing though. Gives the ball away more than others. His crossing was as terrible as ever, twice in the first half he had all the time in the World and hit the first man. I'm happy though that he did his job defensively which made a pleasant change.

Dawson 7 - We all know Dawson's limitations - but I don't have a problem with him playing now that Perkins has gone. They certainly couldn't play together and it's nice to know that they won't ever again. His touch let him down a few times but thought he played with tenacity and actually drove us forward well a couple of times.

O'Brien 8 - Thought Jim was excellent today - might be a position that suits him. Buzzes around but crucially looks to move the ball forward with more intensity and purpose. Great cross for the goal, excellent performance from Jim.

Jennings 8 - Clear that we were looking at a player that was much fitter and much sharper than previous from the first whistle. Far too many people have written him off too quickly and I was glad he could prove it today. Hard-working performance epitomised by his pressing in the last 10 minutes when he was clearly exhausted. Really promising - almost like a new signing and clear that the spell at MK Dons has done him the world of good.

Mellis 6 - Thought he was disappointing today in terms of his passing. Danny has now got him playing in his best position, just seemed to overhit a few through balls when we had chances to kill the game.

Shea 6.5 - Drifted in and out of the game. Some really bright touches, and some good runs that we unfortunately couldn't find. Think there's more to come, some promising signs.

O'Grady 7.5 - I've read some absolute garbage on here about him not caring or not giving a stuff. What a load of arse. Clearly a striker that was lacking in confidence but who showed the guts to step up and take an emphatic penalty, and from that point on with his confidence restored was excellent. Looked like he enjoyed having players like Mellis/Shea/Jennings given more licence to get up and support him. Excellent performance once his confidence was up and I hope it silences some of the dross I've read on here about him.

SUBS - not too much needed really on them, none on for particularly long though RNL looked rusty at best!

Man who writes the teamsheet - 0/10 for forgetting to write Cywka's name!

All in all a comfortable win against a team that are really in freefall and in grave danger of total implosion. Perkins is not the answer to solve their problems, that's for sure!

Pretty much agree. Dale, Jim and COG played really well, Brek was mixed and Luke pulled off some good saves.

Thought once O'grady scored he was a completely different player second half, back to last seasons standard

I have absolutely no problem with people saying that he wasn't playing particularly well. He wasn't, but it was a lack of confidence. There was never an air of an "I don't care" attitude as some people stated on here, he just needed a goal. Got it and was then outstanding.

Worth a lot more than the £1.5m that was suggested recently when he's in this kind of form. Couldn't believe my eyes on here the other week when folk were suggesting otherwise, saying we should cash in etc. He's missed a lot of games yet he's nearly into double figures for the season, with plenty of games to go. With runners from midfield, men wide of him, someone linking etc, he's the perfect centre forward at this level.

As for not caring, he's one of the last I'd throw that accusation at.

Come on Rob, do you have something against Luke Steele? The sky sports experts that sit behind me (they have a vehement dislike of Luke) we're silent for the entire match.

It gets blurted out when the team is on a bad run that they aren`t trying or aren`t playing for the manager, unrest in the dressing rooms another its mainly bollaaacks but its put in there to add weight to their arguments.

The only reason I didn't rate him higher was that I didn't think he had any saves to make that I wouldn't expect him to make. He was excellent from a commanding the box point of view, but Blackpool were so toothless that he didn't have too much to do, thats all. :)

Agree with that entirely, my brother said when he stepped up for the penalty that once O'Grady had got one goal then the floodgates would probably open again, soon after he got on the end of the 2nd. How many times this season has O'Brien or McCourt put a ball in the box like that and nobody has got on the end of it.

Pretty much sums up my thoughts on the players though would gave given Steele 7.5 thought he was very solid today and decent in dealing with the high balls they chucked in and a tax over critical of Mellis who I thought created space for others with his movement on and off the ball.

I wouldn't disagree much with either of those suggestions, mate. :)

The only reason O'Grady has struggled since his injury is because he's had no support. The only time he had it was the last half hour against Derby & he played well. He needs players running off him & he got that today

Totally agree - thats why I've been so annoyed by the utter nonsense on here from some people saying that he doesn't care now that his mate has gone. Utter bilge.

Unfortunately I missed the game yesterday, but all the comments here point clearly at the fact we have a manager in charge who knows what he is doing. Players in their best position, strikers getting service and an orgsnised defence. Slow start in terms of results but off field everything looks positive and the first win kicks things off

When I picked Jennings in my team the other day. Most of you was like, why Jennings? What's he done to deserve a starting line up......all I can say is told you soooo :)

I have to state that I saw a lot of people write Jennings off (comparing him to Mido) and I certainly wasn't one of them. Clearly wasn't fit, clearly had talent. He's thrived on getting competitive games at MK Dons and I hope he can continue to play as he did yesterday.
