I ordered my tickets online for the discount and hubby and I got to the ground at about a minute after 3 due to pretty much the entire motorway from Leeds to Barnsley being reduced to 50mph. We ran all the way from the car and saw the shutters were down, but the clup shop was open and there was a queue from the box office to the door, so we went in and joined the queue. Woman behind the till then pipes up with 'the box office is closed, it closes at 3pm', so I said that we had to collect tickets and she said 'you can't, it closes at 3pm' (depite it clearly being open with about 10 people infront of us). I was fuming and said 'you've got to be kidding me' at which she flapped her hands and shrugged. Anyway, I didn't leave and got my tickets, although they did turn down a family who arrived about 10 seconds behind me. Miserable buggers, I know it's my responsibility to arrive on time, but come on, it was less than a minute after 3pm and I'd already paid £40 for my tickets.
I hope Ben finds out about that. When we have such low attendances the staff should be bending over backwards to get people in
A little bit of customer service costs nothing but is worth a lot. Good on you for sticking to your guns JD, you definitely did the right thing.
if they have turned people away, who have paid for tickets then they should be ashamed of themselves, even if you were late by half an hour you should still be able to get your tickets.
Always found staff very accommodating in club shop and box office. Easy targets sometimes are the employees of the club
Haha, I wasn't actually. He knows the route to the ground like the back of his hand now I tell you, it was those bloody speed cameras!!
There was nothing quick about in there, we didn't get our tickets until just after 10 past. There seemed to be a rather large amount of people claiming they didn't have a number 13 ticket in their book.
It didn't help Leeds having an early kick off, as we had to contend with people going there before we could even get onto the motorway. Edit: actually we didn't set off that early, I guess it was more to do with the fact that they make the road infront of the ground one way and so traffic build up around there.
They treat people like there doing them a favour FEK em I pay on the gate so I don,t have to deal with them.
Nope blaming shop staff for being miserable. I already blamed myself for bad planning in my first post. I feel sorry for the family behind me, kids looked under 10, wouldn't fancy telling them that they couldn't go now.
