Apologised on twitter for his poor performance. I don't think he needed to, personally. But it was good to see so many positive responses from our supporters, telling him to keep his head up, keep working hard etc. Last thing we ought to be doing is criticising the young lads who have had hardly any game time and then don't look sharp because of it. They need our support. In my opinion. As you were..
In a nutshell. But the fact he's just returned from injury, and it's his first game time at this level for months will also have been factors. Look at Jennings. He's had a run of competitive games and looks much better for it.
He was only on 15 minutes and its hard to get up to the pace of the game in a short space of time, so no need to apologise for mine, particularly as COG going off disrupted things a bit. The positive for me was that under Danny, RNL was given a definitive role that he obviously recognises and can respond to over the next few games.
Needs game time, if he plays games regularly, he'll get up to speed, unfortunately I think Shea and Jennings will take some displacing.
When COG went off, I felt he should have gone up front instead of Jennings. It was unlucky for RNL that as soon as he came on we went on the back foot. I think we should have put the subs on earlier.
To be fair RNL has got so many promising performances in the bag already that today should just be forgoten about.
Steele had a right pop at him but reuben needs to keep strong and try and get a perfomace in. it was a bad time to come on for a attacking player.
I'm desperate for the lad to do well but i just don't think he's good enough at this level.Hope I'm wrong like !
No need for him to apologise. I've seen enough to suggest he can be of use to us. He just couldn't get going today which is understandable given how rusty he must be.
I agree. His last match was against Huddersfield and he played Hammill out of the game. He was then dropped! He must be given more time/chance.
Not the best performance from the lad but I was surprised to see him being played on the right. Surely he'd have been better off on the left?
Exactly. Not match fit due to a combination of Flicker not giving him a chance and his injury record. I thought he tried hard today and he will have better games once he's more upto pace.
It was tough for him. He wasn't up to speed after a spell out, others around him were knackered & we didn't have a proper striker on to hold the ball up. I think he'll be more of a use off the bench when we're chasing a game. Should be a confidence boost to him & Digby that Wilson trusts them enough to put them on when we've not won in months & are defending a lead. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
