According to today's Sunday mirror attracting interest from Blackpool and Huddersfield who could make bid in transfer window
i rate mellis, but danny obviously isn't having anyone around who won't put a shift in. that might be his only downfall. also assuming he'll drop to the bench, once lawrence is up to full speed
The most frustrating player I can remember playing for us. It was summed up yesterday when he had the ball near the touchline and just dribbled it out of play. He's our most creative central midfielder but for every killer pass there are at least 10 stupid mistakes.
No sad loss on yesterdays performance. So much ability but just doesn't apply himself enough. Gave the ball away far too much yesterday.
A player going through the motions till his contract expires in the summer. Get rid now...shame though, decent player when interested.
If he actually had a shot when he's on the edge of the box he'd probably have ten goals this season. To be fair he did have a couple of goes yesterday, weren't the best of efforts but no-one is going to blame you for having a go - it's much more annoying passing it sideways or backwards and then losing possession.
Me and you differ here tom, got undoubted tallent, but how often is he our best player, 9-10 games he plays he's an also ran.All this....play him down the middle and not wide, and watch him shine....Am still waiting. Another in the Georgi Hirstov, Nardiello mold for me. a waste of tallent . Sorry but the lad could go t'morra for me..Tompole is a better finisher and has had more impact than Mellis. and he would just be on the bench. Its all about opinions , but Mellis would have to do an awful lot more, for me..
Yeah game of opinions. I thought he was top drawer against Leeds in particular and I don't think he's actually had a bad game since Danny took over. A couple of through balls yesterday that were called back incorrectly for offside could have led to goals. I think he will be firmly in Wilson's plans. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
think Spartacus and mansfield are spot on, not good enough regularly enough, too many stupid mistakes. I don't think he wants to stay around longer than the summer so we should try cash in now.
How he had the nerve to slate jennings for having a shot I will never know (just before mellis was subbed). Has one good game in 10 and constantly blames players around him for his own lack of effort. Could and should be our best player, but in my opinion he can take it or leave it. Get rid. Quality player. Only 22, and only his second full season. I rate him. Yes he isn't perfect, but that's why he's here. Won us a point in our last league game. Was part of a winning team yesterday. But if folk want rid then fair enough, each to their own etc.
Personally I'd rather have McCourt. Same amount of work rate but a lot more possibility of a goal or match winning assist with 30 seconds of brilliance than mellis who does is once every 10 games. However, the reason we have mellis is because he doesn't apply himself every game. If he did he'd be at a top end championship team / possibly on the verge of a premiership squad. Just so frustrating to watch at times. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
i do rate his ability and i don't WANT him to go. But what do people reckon will happen with him in the summer? Sometimes doesn't look like he wants to be here.
