It was worth going to the game just to see Bobby's performance. Hill / Flicker (or any of their mates if you're reading this) Bobby is a proper player and despite your best efforts he's still at the club, still very much in our managers thoughts and will always be a legend unlike you two loons.
if you watch it very carefully you can notice the difference in coaching techniques, i.e. catching a ball as opposed to parrying, a lot of the saves bobby catches the ball ( like keepers did 10/15 years ago) and not "slapping" it away like keepers do nowadays
My favourite part of that is Scott Wiseman's marking. And the fact that every man and his dog rushes off the bench to congratulate Bobby. Apart from Keith and Flicker of course. Probably too upset as Rochdale had just lost.
Just my thoughts too Jay, I posted something similar . Glad they have fecked off, plus Scott has gone too. What a difference it was to have a fullback that could defend, mark his man and still get forwards on Saturday !
I thought McLaughlin was just superb. People were comparing him to Trippier, but I can't remember Trippier performing anything like that well. He'd got Wiseman's pace, Bobby's defensive abilities, passing and know how of when to boot it clear if that's what was needed, and he could attack the opposition's full back like a proper winger. He's going to be a star. I hope Brendan Rodgers goes a bit nuts and lets us keep him.
He's nowhere near the first team at Liverpool apparently. I spoke to a lad at work yesterday who is a dyed in the wool Pool fan and he hadn't heard of him. Was shocked tbh. Only worry for me is he performs well and someone else higher up loans him although Ryan might decide to stay if here if he's enjoyed it, and his interview suggests he has so far.
