Extremely disturbing. There's enough wealth to solve poverty issues, with probably enough left to cover the health bill*. But they don't get sorted. The human race sucks.

Yep, I think I read somewhere that Warren Buffett gets about a million dollars an hour in interest.
Though he has pledged to give it away when he kops it.

Yeah I heard this on the radio earlier, shocking stat but not a huge surprise.

People say a new world order is just a conspiracy...it could actually be in full swing with all the western governments pretty much following the same line given that these insanely rich people can have a massive influence on pretty much any country they want.

I always believed that in my life time the gulf between would become more narrow. I'm a fool.

It definitely is. It doesn't mean they are reptilians, like David Ike reckons, but these people pretty much stand above the law.

Mate, it's been in full swing for decades, I've said it before and I'll say it again, class warefare is alive and well and being won by the biggest and best exponents of that war, the "rich upper classes", aided and abetted by their puppets in the tory party. This class thing used to be only prevelant in a few countries but I'm afraid it is world wide now. The article that Jimmy C linked for us talks about social unrest, well I'm afraid that will happen at some point, if it takes the form of the peacefull social change that happened here just after the war then that will be fine, unfortunately I think the longer it goes on and the deeper this inequality gets the more chance that it will turn violent.

Always thought David Icke would have got much more respect for his views if he wasn't so fixated on this reptilian rubbish as a lot of the stuff he says outside of this does get you thinking and probably isn't a million miles off.

No you're not a fool, the fools are the people who fall hook line and sinker for all the lies that are fed to them by the right wing owned media, the ones who think it's ok to back the rich by voteing tory and turning a blind eye to the tax dodgers then turn on their own class by picking on benifit claiments and the jobless.

Totally right. Sadly a lot of people go way past the actual stuff no one talks about, like this...

Strangely under New Labour the rich / poor divide increased, despite the introduction of the minimum wage, (which was a good thing, even if it isn't really enforced). The reason is that they know there isn't a right lot they can do about certain things as they rely on these people's support for funding & making things happen when they are in office, as they have more influence in america than the prime minister of the UK on many economic matters.

I don't think he is pal, I watched on TV a talk he gave some years ago and I thought this guy is right, he's talking sense, then out of the blue he started talking about shape shifting reptiles, in that short moment he killed stone dead what could have beena very good argument. Barking Mad.

Nowt strange about it at all seeing as they were tories in all but name.
Old labour was making inroads, very slowly, into the redistribution of wealth and power to the ordinary people of this country after the war. Peter Wright, the MI5 spy, who's autobiography was banned by the thatcher administration, told of a meeting he was called to that discussed ways of getting rid of Harold Wilson because, in the words of those at the meeting, he and his party are ruining this country, he intimated that those in attendance where either all high ranking establishment figures or very rich. He also intimated that there was a very senior royal in attendance. Make no mistake, this country isn't run by the government, the government of the day is run by an unelected group of powerful and wealthy people who will stop at nothing to keep the status quo. They will let the "labour party", when in power, to follow policies with a degree of social awareness, but if they go too far then the whole force of their power will be unleashed to unseat them and install puppets to regain what they have lost. Cameron's a prime example, if he gets back in then with regards to the welfare state we will be taken back to pre 1945.

Good post. I pretty much think that all the gains were made in the post war government of Clement Attlee . After that it has been a struggle to grab them back by the more powerfully backed Tory party. Then Labour decided to sell out & take the yankee dollar (figuratively).

This tells you how well Labour have done since then: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk-most-unequal-country-in-the-west-1329614.html

I am not a tory & would kind of welcome a Labour government, but we all know that it ain't gonna do ****

hard to see where its gonna come from mate tbh untill recently i thought it was because there was no backbone in todays society but now i'm thinking its because theres not as much organisation and the television is being used as a massive propaganda machine to the point where they look as though they're protesting and fairly reporting just enough to give the impression.
the fact that the upper classes are bemoaning that the bbc is too left wing and needs to change is testament to thistheory imo. anyone with an ounce of gumption can see that the bbc is nowhere near to the left its that the critics have moved wildly to the right. even people on here have stated the bbc are left wing ffs people in barnsley saying that the bbc is left wing .

The world could be a lot better if The Catholic Church released a few of its multi billions..it could do a real job for the world's poorest souls.
