http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Hull...tml?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter I know very little about this guy, any good?
Looks a big lad, too similar too o'grady? Would prefer us to sign someone more in the Leroy Lita mould a pacey fox in the box type striker. But it's looking like DW wants two strikers so maybe getting one of each perhaps.
Don't think so. Danny was quoted as saying that Chris needs some help and we are doing are best to bring someone in to complement him or words to that effect
As said, in the similar mould as COG. Possibly not the 'sniffer' that might be a natural foil for COG, but I'd be happy with that. I also don't think COGs days are numbered at all. Our top scorer, ratio of 1 in 2. Danny would be mental to let him go.
O'grady is contracted until the summer of 2015 so I'd fully expect him to be here until January 2015 at least.
I saw Proschwitz for Hull the other week at Boro. He was meant to be on the bench but Matty Fryatt pulled out after the warm up with flu or sumat. I was impressed with the German. He held the ball up brilliantly and his technique and link-up play was spot on. He's similar to COG in many respects, but not quite the pace or power of big Chris, looks very one paced. However, he took his only chance very well, a good finish. And, that's the only time I've ever seen the bloke play so I'm not the perfect judge and also, I'm guessing he wasn't exactly in tip top condition considering his lack of games etc. If Danny's idea is to concentrate on the attacking players around COG (Shea, Jennings, JOB, Lawro, Daws, RNL, Mellis, Paddy etc) then perhaps we'll stick with one up top and this Proschwitz may be a good deputy for COG?
City paid 2.6 million for him 18 months ago from the German 2nd division. He's bang average and on very big bucks.
They signed him when they were in the Championship, Bruce eventually gave up on him after he scored 3 league goals all season.
Agree his stats are not overly great. Mainly at second tier clubs. He also, from his wiki page, sounds like he demands transfers quite a bit. He also got dumped from one club without playing a match. Will hope for the best but don't think this is the goalscoring hero to keep us up... Fingers crossed either way
Now then Tykes! Proschwitz might be a big lad, but he's not your 'old fashioned english centre forward.' He tends to shy away from the physical stuff. We paid 2.5million (!) for him to play up front with Fryatt but it never worked out. I think he has potential to score goals though as he seems a decent finisher in and around the box so he may well benefit playing off a big number 9. Good luck staying up
Not impressed. I have seen enough of him 1st hand (plus the dozen or so Tigers I work with, I have yet to hear 1 positive comment from ) to know he just can't handle the physical side of the english game.
Thanks for that. Sometimes a club just doesn't work out. Hopefully he'll hit some form with us Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
