For Donny again. Overweight and overrated anyway. Donny fans creaming themselves though. Good luck to em. Wasn't he there when they went down last time?
I don't think so, think he left mid way through the season and they never recovered. I'd take him, then again, he wouldn't have much competition at the moment.
Didn't Southampton say they would only loan him to someone who was prepared to pay all his wages when a loan was mentioned earlier in the season? If so, Donny are taking a gambling that his goals will keep them up, otherwise it is going to be a very expensive signing. Then again, imagine paying big wages to a striker on loan who doesn't manage to score very often...d'oh! Taxi for Pedersen.
I'm not one of these that fawn over him or owt, I think he's decent at this level, but nothing special. But it's a fantastic signing for them and gives them hope of surviving, plus a few hundred extra pikeys on seats.
How come when a player signs for one of our local rivals he suddenly becomes *****? Sharpe is a great signing for Donny.........he is likely to get the goals that moves Donny out of the relegation zone - hence putting more pressure on our directors and management team
For once we are in agreement. We effectively have to match, or better that signing with a striker of our own. Less Donny become the more potent side and send us down.
Good signing for them, as it would've been for us. Exactly the sort of striker we need to play up top with O'Grady.
Agree...ad av him like a shot...bit less competition for other targets, cos we'll all be after same players.
just got to hope one of danny's targets comes through. it must be a struggle to compete, if any other Champ team is interested
I'm convinced Danny'll find the right man. And anyway, I think our one up top formation and plenty of creativity/pace around him will work well, especially away. But we certainly need at least one striker to strengthen our options. And hopefully young Rose and Pedersen come good for us.
