I heard about this about this 2 weeks ago but kept a lid on it as wasnt sure if it was true. Interesting. Heard its buying ground back as well.
I don't know about that, I think he's been a bit mischievous in the past but at times has been very complimentary as well.
Firstly, I'm not saying that it is John Ryan, but to be fair to the man, he always showed ambition. He's the kind of bloke that you could imagine coming in and saying 'right, I want to get Barnsley challenging for promotion in x amount of time'. He has annoyed me at time with a few of his comments, but it doesn't make him a bad person. Though, I would be very surprised if it even was him.
I'd agree with that. He slagged us off when we were in League 1 and from when they battered us in that paint pot match? Although when we played them under mark robins at keepmoat he complimented us saying the power had shifted from the 2 Sheffield clubs to us and Donny. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You're spot on during our League 1 days, then he began to look a bit silly when we were hammering them most seasons in the Championship so he started on a arse licking mission. We're playing in Ireland so they're Irish -> Irish tried to buy Donny -> John Ryan -> Donny -> out of football -> it must be him. Got to love this board. It's Bill Gate's, he once sold Torex a couple of computers...
I hate this $hit. All it does is unsettle the team. Poor form from the Chron. Poor form Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Why does it upset the team?....they probably know nothing about it. Plus what effect will it have on the team?
Last time we was in talks, and it was ongoing that dragged on and on then faded. This has just come as a shock, very unexpected tbh. So talks have been happening but behind the scenes, Danny probably already knows.
In one way, it's a surprise as we've not heard anything for months and months, regarding investment or takeover. In another way, it's not surprising, because the new leadership of Mansford & Watkins (with Cryne) are very professional and would be doing any negotiation and due diligence with absolute discretion. That's how should be......no more of the Terry Butcher and Sean O'Driscoll embarrassments......we're being run by a better leadership team now.
