He's doing pretty well then, as they've definitely scored a few!

For me the lad has very little positional sense and doesn`t get tight enough to marking his man defensively but I also take on board that many a time he has been left 2 against 1 and up against it. Mellis was another who gave him little cover.

Blackpool game it was nice to see him press on over halfway with the ball and was very much more positive, for me I put that down to the what the manager was asking of him. Time will tell if he goes back to checking back and losing the impetus.

Perkins has played there once or twice all season & spent most of the game cutting inside as he's not a winger

I don't think anyone's saying the only reason he's struggled is because of lack of support from his winger but it definitely makes a difference, whilst he's still one of our weaker players it makes his job a lot easier when he's got Jennings in front of him who will track the opposing right back when he pushes forward.

You've only got to look at Mourinho at Chelsea, they don't concede as many goals now he's got his wide players Hazard & Willian running themselves into the ground every game.

I don't want Paddy, Cywka, Jennings, O'Brien running themselves into the ground covering for poor full backs. I want them to apply themselves, defend where necessary, but importantly for me I'd prefer them to focus on attacking the opposition, and the likes of Kennedy keeping the opposition out.

I know what Wilson would say to that and you wouldn't like it, Trotters. If you think yourself and Danny are on any kind of wavelength, I'd sack yourself and start again.

Top and tail of it is that Danny boy appears to rate Kennedy, can't see any reason not to back both of them.

And Jennings has played once successfully.

Same here. Defend when necessary, which is what Jennings did against Blackpool.

Agreed. But he's a natural wide player who knows the role

Well done you. Why aren't you a football club manager?

Yes if he can carry on as he did against Blackfool he will definitely be an asset. Though I'm not sure I'd trust his tackling in our area.

Paddy McCourt does neither. The only time he moves is when he has the ball. His work rate is simply not enough, for where we are. Time will tell, if Danny agrees, but so far i'd say he does.

He tackled Reda Johnson in the build-up to Pedersen's goal the last time we met Wednesday. So I'd say you're exaggerating. I've seen him get back and defend.

But we've done this argument to death.

Danny is the best manager I've known for us and I trust him all the way. But if he doesn't select Paddy it doesn't prove anything to me. I've seen Paddy practically win us two games this season. We've only won four in total. He's been a rare highlight in what has been a depressing campaign.

If Danny doesn't feel he's what he wants, then that's fine by me. I can't recall Paddy ever costing us a match with this so-called lack of application. We've won more games/points whenever he's played. But as I say, I'm arguing over something that we've covered a million times already. And in those other arguments, it was pretty much nailed that a BFC containing Paddy was a much better BFC in terms of the football played, the goals scored and points accrued.

But again, in Danny I trust. I was gutted when he let Brendan O'Connell go all those years ago, but I soon got over it.

    You Reds.

That was the one that jumped out at me. I'm pretty sure he's made others.

It was a good tackle though so one more than Kennedy's managed in 18 months...

Perkins and Dawson have made hundreds of tackles but no where near the same goals per game ratio as Paddy. So which is best ?there's only one way to find out fiiiiggghhhhtttttt
