    Depends what you want from your local paper, a mouth piece for the club or a newspaper that supports it but also holds it to account. Personally I want the latter.

    I can't believe that you seriously want the Town's newspaper to just report what they're told by the club.

    Even if this story is wrong and it doesn't end up happening, it is absolutely right that it was published.

    But the YP aren't putting out a story, are they? They're trying to verify whether there is any truth in the one published in the Chron. So far I've not seen anything on here that would persuade me that the original story has any substance to it.

    Which there must have been for it to be printed. Remember it goes through an editor too who will no doubt ask the questions you did.
