Once a player or manager has left BFC I don't see any point in referring to them in current messages. We hear about Keith Hill, Flicker, Wiseman (yes, I know he bad-mouthed us) Simon Davey etc. Surely once they've gone it's time to forget about them.
So we can't discuss Ronnie Glavin either? Or Neil Redfearn? Craig Hignett? Bit of a problem with your idea, pal.
But how often are the above mentioned in comparison to Hill Flitcroft etc. I had a quick count the other day and on the first page alone there were 5 different threads about Flitcroft, one about Wiseman and one about McNulty. Surely we would rather talk about the positives, (redders, Ronnie etc) than dwell on the negatives
I look at pictures of Keith Hill at least twice a week. I came across this one today, its Keith in a football kit. Might print this one off, an excellent addition to the shrine.
My avatar is Hignett. I talk about him, Redders etc regularly. We've not long since got rid of Hillcroft so of course people will discuss them. I promised two weeks ago not to create any more threads about them or Dale. I've been true to my word. But others have continued to create them anyway. Folk can post what they like for me. Within reason, like.
The past being so much better than the present it's only random memories of decent players like Liddell, Eaden, Taggart and Aylott that keeps me sane. So I'd prefer to dwell in the past though if I could erase soviet style the Hillcroft years from our history I probably would.
Hill, Flicker, Wiseman, etc. all have relevance to BFC...My problem lies with all the Man U, City, Chelsea posts...Just wish all the glory hunters who pretend to have a passing interest with us, would piss off to their respective forums.
you're right Archey - no problem with messages about 'old' players as long as they're positive. But these whinges about McNulty, Wiseman, et al are boring.
Cheers, stuff like this always comes in useful for things like lighting fires, temporary dart boards, wiping your arse, etc.
