Getting a bit boring if you ask me. He's not the greatest player, but he played really well against Blackpool and he wasn't even the worst full back tonight, let alone the worst player. In fact, he was the best full back tonight, cos Nyatanga was shocking and Jimbo was rubbish when he went to right back. Jimbo made a couple of mistakes that would have had Kennedy crucified. But as soon as Kennedy made a mistake the shouts started. Like that's going to help. I think it's time we got behind all the players, cos unless we make a late signing these are the ones that we need to keep us up. Getting on their back like what's happening with Kennedy will do us no good.

Certainly at the match it's not helpful whilst I don't mind a little TK joke in private at the game it' annoys me. Slagging our own off is never good. Whatever anyone thinks of Kennedy I believe he gives of his best every game. Often that doesn't produce results because he lacks a little quality but all you can ask of any player selected is that they give everything they have when picked.

    I agree.

And with McLaughlin now likely to be out for a few week, we're struggling again in that area.

Good point tonight. Let's stop slating Kennedy, Nyatanga or whoever, and acknowledge that we didn't lose and are off the bottom. Three games unbeaten. It's progress. Steady, like. But still, we're fighting, we're moving up. Let's stick together.

    Goodnight all.

I was going to post something very similar. It's really wearing thin now but some just aren't happy unless there is a scapegoat to vent their spleen at after every game. Its pretty sad really but that's the power of the internet for you.

I'm sorry but the bloke actually shat himself at the sight of an opposition striker running towards him and tapped the ball out of play. He's not good enough. I don't think its even up for debate, he's a really, really poor championship footballer.

I won't ever boo him at games and the neanderthals at the back of the East Stand that briefly chanted for an opposition player to break his leg are a disgrace - but he's not good enough. I don't think we have a better option at left back in the squad after seeing Nyatanga today - but all that means is that we need to go and find one.

Nyatanga is a centre half and O'Brien is a right winger/attacking midfielder, so really you'd expect Kennedy to be better than both in his, you know, preferred position. I agree, he's not the best we've ever had and the stick he gets isn't conducive but he is by and large the weak link in our side at the minute. He offers little to nothing going forward and his defensive offerings usually pertain to him being overstretched and having to make last ditch challenges.

The first half, fair enough - he was out of position and for someone who is so one dimensional and one footed he was always going to look like a fish out of water. He looked more comfortable when he was swapped around, but overall, he along with Dawson just aren't good enough.

I know what you mean bout getting behind players etc but them two last night wtf? Kennedy was APPALLING every time he had space he turned around and ran backwards, his passing was abysmal, he's weak in the air, slow weak tackler, his delivery and corners (especially for a left footer) are pathetic...that said he didnt get much stick off anyone I was sat near and it was Danny's fault for playing him there anyway, Nyatanga was shocking aswell offers nothing going forward only upside is bit of extra height defending set pieces and a bit more solid in the tackle

People critasising other people is irritating, hes obviously good enough to play at a certain level. Maybe hes not the best, but atleast he tries. People can say he's ****, without giving a reason why, but at the end of the day, hes made it to be a footballer, if people think they can do a better job, well why aren't you a footballer?

I reserve the right to criticise poor performances. And I'll keep on doing it. So there :)

Decided to sit in the West Stand last night for the first time in years cos the people I go with couldn't make it, don't know if anyone sits there but I saw the funniest fight about Kennedy round the back at half time, anyone else see that??
