Re: That half time penalty shoot out for kids Impressed by the speed of response! I'm not talking about moving the nets anywhere else on the pitch-they're fine where they are. Just give the kids an extra half a yard. The kids naturally gravitate to the line, so it needs to be marked instead with a couple of cones. Take your kick anywhere between these cones. The kids also naturally gravitate to the side where their parents are, and end up taking them from there, which again is wrong. They should both be offered the same central point. (To be fair this does seem to happen most of the time now, but was a right shambles when they kicked towards those cut out holes) To say they don't take them from the line is just not true. They did last night, and I have even seen one kid trip up over the pitch, as he's attempted to run up from the red gravel. It's not a massive thing, it's just a simple thing. CTGTKAEHAY Campaign to give the kids an extra half a yard.
I suppose if there's any truth to this takeover story then Mansford's days could be numbered and he might not give a sh*t about improving anything?
If that was a smoke canister I'd be asking for a refund. I thought someone had genied a box of swan vestas. By all accounts the stewards were wading in mob handed throwing their weight around. Been told that one young un will be going school today with a flat nose...
GALLY - Can you ask if the Charlton game will be called off IF they draw the cup tie at Sheff Wed, meaning the replay will clash with our re-arranged date!
I'm with you on that one. If you exit at the bottom end of the car park there are signs directing you to go through the left hand exit if you want Cundy Cross and all points east (on to Pontefract Road) and to take the right exit (on to Grove Street) for town and all points north, south and west. The number of times I join the traffic on Grove Street to find the hold up is a car wanting to turn left out of Grove Street because it exited from one of the top exits where there are no signs directing traffic.
McNulty has claimed that Ben didn't back Flitcroft . how does he feel about that? Did Wiseman ever hint at his eternal unhappiness when you were signing cheques for thousands every month? In the east stand the TVs on the outer walls are never switched on but the rest are. Is there a reason for this? Why isn't the former club shop inside the stand used? Surely a retail outlet with the shutters down can only be lost revenue and even though the clubshop is franchised now the unit could surely be used in another way. The advertising boards along the side of the pitch. How many players have to crash into them before they are removed? How does Patrick Cryne and the Council's now approved planning application to build houses on the clubs carpark affect the club? Will the club benefit financially from this? Why do we always come out to start the match and second half so late? How much money did it cost to give free tickets to school children recently and is the figure too high to make it a more regular thing? What really happened with the badge voting and why was there no option for fans wanting a change but none of the proposed badges? How much were the leeds based company paid to 'design' the monstrosities that they came up with? And how did they manage to completely fail to design anything even close to what the target audience wanted so spectacularly? It seems that Ben has really tried to connect with the fans so how does he feel he has done so far? Does he feel that the fans have taken to him as he would have liked? Who does he think will win Splash?
Can we please stop playing that ******* song when we score a goal? For **** sake. Do not play any music. We've scored a goal. Stop Americanising my beloved game.
I hate it. I wouldn't be as averse to it if the song was unique to us, but it's not, loads of clubs play it.
Here's a few things to mention, in order of importance: 1. Any news of this takeover rumour. 2. TVs - Switched on in Ponty end last night, but no SkySports on. Just showing a picture of the pitch. 3. Any progress on a new Scoreboard
