With all these new household name signings were making ... .... Some could say "mercinarys" ... ... Will they fight for the cause or just nick a wage?... Doncaster rovers anyone???... Joking!!!!! Come on you REDS!!!
well the ones that have played have all made immediate impressions thus far..lawrence winning a crucial pen, proschwitz scored, mcglaughlin had strong debut, shea hasn't been overly impressive but I don't think he's been too bad either, hopefully the rest can do the same
Only doubt I have at the moment is Jack Hunts assessment of his own fitness. Not played still getting pain.I hope he comes through this for his own and Barnsley FC's sake.
I was joking but I do have concerns and I'm ALWAYS wrong so don't worry. 1) Hunts fitness but hopefully he can stay fit till McGlaughlin is back then they can get each other fit. 2) Frimpong is clearly a Londoner will he fit in up north? Will he give 100% minds you he could have declined the contract so he has some motivation. That's it really but I'll take nothing from the crew at 'well some excellent business this widow. In almost convinced we can stay up now and I'm over the moon with the club once more!
yeah Frimpong and Hunt both had nasty injuries but players do recover especially younger ones, Frimpong hasn't looked out of his depth when I've seen him for Arsenal in the odd champions league game and Hunt was a revelation at Huddersfield and went for £2m other year so fingers crossed hope they can both do well for us now
Some can even spell 'mercenaries'!! And no, don't be daft. There's no doubt Frimpong has signed to play first team football and progress his career. There is nothing wrong with that if we get some good football from him and don't get shafted over the transfer fee. He will also be hoping to make the world cup with Ghana. Lawrence is looking for a final challenge in the championship and the loanees obviously are looking to gain first team experience and either impress their parent clubs or attract a new one. Again nowt wrong with that, they will have to perform well and that benefits us.
