Just to make you aware one of my work colleagues does the stewarding at Hillsborough and they have just received a call from there manager to ring into the office before setting off tomorrow morning Been told the match will not go ahead if the rain continues Really hope this doesn't happen
Can they not cover the pitch? Is that not the sensible thing to do? It's gonna get called off ain't it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
They are facing a worse fixture backlog than us, (potentially) I'd expect them to at least try to get the game on.
"No chance" is probably a bit strong, these days it's rain during the few hours before a game which tend to dictate whether the game is called off. Do they have undersoil heating?
I know ive been a **** in the past but this is truth I wouldn't lie about something like this. I really hope the weather calms down but not looking good
Undersoil heating is to protect the pitch from freezing, you don't turn it on to clear water. I'd find summat else to do tomorrow aft...
Weren't sure if it was possible to use it to dry the soil out but guessing it doesn't get hot enough to evaporate water
Forecast not great. Heavy rain until up until 7pm. Light rain until 1pm.Better tomorrow but heavy again from 4pm.
Probably exactly what the Charlton fans were saying a couple of weeks ago, right up to midday on Saturday in fact
Cannot see why not Wendy's have a good drainage system as it was upgraded, and I believe they have under soil heating. There pitch is not like the Blunts
