Is that we haven't been able to move on Kelvin and Dawg ****. Ah well. Can't have everything. In Danny we trust.
Lets get shut of all our fit players and bring in anther lot that can only last 60 minutes. Excellent idea.
do you think the players we've brought in are worse than the ones we've let go? that's how it reads to me?
Given that Kelvin has not played in weeks how do you think he will be any less or more fit than our new signings. Dawson has demonstrated innumerable times the last being on Tuesday that for all his wholehearted effort he lacks a little quality.
If I were looking for a negative I'd say that we still lack goals from midfield but we've improved immeasurably in this area since Danny took over.
I think the point he's making is that after an hour or so when the likes of Frimpong and Woods are tiring from their lack of games, we may need Dawson and Etuhu to bring on to see a game out. If we'd have shipped them out we'd be relying on unfit or inexperienced players. Despite what the OP thinks, Dawson and Etuhu have both proven in the past that they're both very capable players.
My remark was aimed at Dawson rather than Etuhu, who has been poor in the games he has played and unfit for the rest. I have no idea whether Hunt, Frimpong and Woods are an improvement in quality as I have not seen them yet, but just about every player we have signed over the last month has been coming back from a long term injury and has come to Barnsley in order to get fit. You cannot have too many of these in your team at the same time because you have only 3 subs and can therefore only replace a maximum of 3 of your tired acquisitions after 60 minutes. Players coming back from long term injuries also tend to succumb to all sorts of niggles including hamstrings. We will be very fortunate not to lose a good proportion of them to injury if we expect too much of them.
We clearly shifted enough out to bring in what the majority of us perceive as 'better' players- I'm not too fussed that there are those here that I would have liked to have gone, but didn't. In fact one or two of them (kelvin et al) might have a job to do between now and the QPR match.
I think the point is Danny has brought in a bunch of quality players to try & keep us up. If we go down we haven't got a cat in hell's chance of keeping them. In which case Dawson & Kelvin & Diggers will be fine in league1. PC has put his money behind Danny & I think whatever happens we as fans should be really pleased with that. Let's hope it pays off.
I thought I saw him play against Blackburn? Unless you are talking in a future sense. Thing is he hasn't broken into our first team regularly yet, so can't see a big money offer for him. If he gets in for rest of season maybe, but with incoming signings I wouldn't say that was Danny's plan.
The way I look at it is this: if they are still at the club, then Danny has seen enough in them to know they can do a job. That is enough for me, and it should be for everyone else. In Danny We Trust & Get behind 'em.
So we're saying that Dawg **** and Kelvin are decent even though we are second bottom of the table. Fark me.
Why don't you leave off. These players sweated blood last year to keep us up and you keep on with your childish abuse.
