Is how numerous BFC fans consistently and over zealously jumped to the defence of awful footballers such as McNulty and Wiseman over a prolonged period of time of poor service to the club (only for said players to insult the club upon leaving despite earning hundreds of thousands of pounds between them at BFC), yet jump on the offensive against a player who clearly has his baggage and faults but also undeniable quality due to a major **** up on debut.

Bizarre. But he's from that there London.

    Must be a wrong un...

What I find staggering is your post. 2 guys lost us the game today. The 2 that got sent off. If you are not on the pitch you are not helping the team.

To be fair Frimpong does have form. His record at Arsenal suggested that discipline on the pitch was a weak point of his. Equally his ball skills, having come through the Arsenal ranks will count in his favour. Jennings' debut was, arguably, worse than Frimpong's.

sorry mike, but i just cannot defend the indefensible. it wasn't a great performance, with one rash challenge. it was a show of complete indiscipline for 30 minutes, capped off with an inevitable sending off. for me - maximum fine and dropped for the next available game

Jennings spent time on loan in the lower league & didn't get another look in.

We need Frimpong, but I'd give Digby his chance now. Dawson is shiite & we have no one else. Go on lad, take your chance. Let Frimpong warm the bench & play with the junior team until he can keep his discipline (and keep his silly immature mouth shut on twitter too)

Frimpong will undoubtedly be a major asset for us... only if he stays on the pitch. to blame him entirely is just folk who either know f**k all or are just angry and looking for a scapegoat.

the lad was daft but didnt cost us the game

Of course it wasn't his fault that they scored the goal - that's one specific incident. The point being made though is that the whole rest of the game would have played out differently if we had 11 players on the pitch. We may still have lost, but playing with 10 men for an hour totally affected our chances of getting a result. And that's his fault.

The point is that although he is culpable for our failure to win, he is not directly at fault for us losing.

The point is a player chuffs up they are human after all. Let's write Jennings off after One misdemeanour let's do the same to Frimpong. Daft really. We haven't signed Jack Wilshire you know we've signed about 3 levels down.

sorry, don't think it's the same, at all. jennings' debut was on the backdrop of time out of the game, expectation, fitness issues, etc etc. He was eager and made a mistake. I could be wrong, but I don't remember him getting hammered for it.

this was a self-proclaimed experienced player, who's played at the highest level and should know better. not just that, but it wasn't one rash lunge. it was 30 minutes of indiscipline, several nips and two stupid tackles. at a pivotal point in the game, when we were just starting to get into it after initial pressure from them. game plan and any realistic chance of 3 points out the window.

i just keep gong back to the Player interview

Q: "So, what can we expect to see from you on the pitch then"?
A: "Err, I don't know really. It's just one of those where you'll just have to wait and see"

Yeah. We saw. We saw very clearly, you fcukin dick

His antics on the pitch are well known that's why he was in the reserves etc at Arsenal and not on loan elsewhere

Mellis had a bad game. I thought he was lucky not to get subbed instead of COG.
I would have rather us gone for 2 up front & play long ball, as that was what seemed to be working.
It wasn't really a sending off, but he was STUPID to dive in like that after 2 had walked & he is equally to blame as Frimpong for me.

Totally agree. We are bringing in a guy who has played in the Champions League & he plays like a schoolboy. Well disappointed. He needs to man up.

For me Mellis seems to get away with a lot of poor performances, for a so called attacking midfielder he creates nothing, thats why i asked for your opinion of him.
