Offers far less offensively than Paddy McCourt. And offers nothing more in defence or in retaining possession.

We were crying out for McCourt on today just to give us another option when going forward.

Cant understand why Wilson wont give him a chance.

We struggle to carry mccourts general lack of effort with 11 on the pitch we'd have no chance with 10

Yeah okay. I've heard it all before and I dont agree. He's 10 times the player Brek Shea is.

Ability wise yes he is. He's 10 times the player of anyone else at the club. But what's the point in all that ability when you put zero effort in unless you're spoonfed the ball for you to show off with?

Shea for example did a LOT of work helping out Kennedy today he was tracking back a lot and doing the defensive work and there is no way that Paddy would have done that, he'd have been brilliant running at them with the ball but he wouldn't have defended at all and wouldn't have ran for the hopeless long balls we put forward

Agreed. It's OK going on and on about all this tracking back, helping out the defence etc etc etc but to me it's ******. We can't have 11 players defending, sooner or later one of them is going to have to say "F*** it, I'm going to try and score and leave the defending to the defenders"

Brek Shea isn't a bad player but he doesn't seem to "frighten" the opposition. Early days though.

Can't understand why some people think we need 11 defenders. Even if we kept 46 clean sheets we'd still get relegated. Time for a top up.......

Fail to see what he offers to the team looks like a scarred puppy when challenging and is 2 inch smaller when he attempts to head it no Paddy for me

Paddy will get his chance and take it, he cant be any less effective than Mellis or Cywka.

Ok then, I believe we should try to play without a goalkeeper next Saturday. That would allow us to play 5 in midfield, but still with 2 up front. Paddy could be the extra midfield player. One of the centre backs could put some gloves on and be "goalie when needed". We would make the extra man count and murder the opposition.

Go on then, agree with that.

Trouble is it's only for 15 minutes per match. The rest of the time he's being carried.

We had a good chance to get a point with 10 men today.

It's hard enough carrying his lack of effort with 11 men never mind 10!

It's no secret I'm not a Paddy fan but I think even his biggest fans would admit that bringing him on today would've been suicide.

How you can say Shea offers nothing more than Paddy defensively is beyond me, I must be watching a different game
