Firstly why was there 5 mins in the first place? Then what happened to warrent the extra 3 mins. He actually found another min or 2 after the goal. COG would have been far more effective which is a bit of a criticism. Would have held the ball up better than the German who in my opinion looked not up to the task today. Frimpong's 2 yellows were a disgrace, never touched him for the first then the second was a dubious foul at best with the Fritzal going down too easily. Horrible dive for his first. Never got a decision all game. Clear penalty at the end, but also Jennings maybe wasn't offside either when he put the ball in. Then to top it off with 9 men they get gifted a free kick when it wasn't a foul on the left. They put the free kick onto the box, we clear and get the ball. Try to walk it out out ends up a goal. Still so annoyed......
yes i want to know about the stoppage time as well. paul walker even said during the commentary that it was only going to be 1 minute apparently, then he sounded surprised/totally shocked when 5 minutes were announced. they were tending to a player on the touchline when tommy siffka took the dreadful corner, but he shouldnt have affected the stoppage time. i get the annoying feeling that the ref was just desperate to add on as much time and give as many free kicks as possible, to give them the advantage.
Seeing the vid I'm even more convinced Frimpong was done. First clear as day no contact, 2nd dubious and one angle gets the ball. Foul at best but a yellow with no warning and already booked?
But it was everything, just plain wrong what happened today. The ref need sending to Stockport for that today.
Plus the time it took for Mellis to crawl off the pitch after the sending off. Plus add on some of Steele's time-wasting... I recommend watching the match back, you obviously weren't there. It may be hard to believe but if you take today's result, league position and goal difference, it does kind of suggest we are currently the better side. Not taking away the defensive effort shown today. Football League Show is just about to start, you may get a good feel of the game by watching that.
the thing is we can moan about refs and officials till we're blue in face it's always been like this and always will be, we have to be smart enough to win without relying on them, not get ourselves sent off, learn how to timewaste, learn where to play the ball to run down clock etc etc, hignett used to be a master at running into corner flag and wasting 3 minutes in their half
Sounds like one deluded fritzal in this thread wasn't there. A sending off doesn't warrent 4 mins extra. Show some education before talking nonsense. Why don't you comment on the penalty?
Ref indicates to 4th official how many minutes extra there will be, usually about 2 mins before the end of the 90, in a "lull" in play convenient for the purpose. Any more time to go on after that will therefore not be shown on the board. There were quite a few incidents in the second half which led to the 5 minutes being shown - 4 substitution and a couple each of bookings and injury stoppages. Maybe a touch of time wasting? After the 90 Mellis was sent off, their physio was on and they made a sub before the goal which was timed at 96:03. No conspiracy here. (Oh and its a MINIMUM of {today} 5 minutes.)
It's tough to absorb today, no doubt about it. But I do believe you are taking sh!te,.........absolutely no way on this earth was there a extra 2 mins on top of the 5 that was given. I know that, you know that, everyone knows that. Andre Marriner got a helluva lot wrong today, unfortunately, the TYKES suffered.

Football league show didn't even show the penalty incident away at Burnley for the Fritzals. Which was then the topic of 5 hours of complaints the following 5 days of the, Wednesday should have penalty special of football heaven.
why did we have almost 10 mins against Blackburn on tuesday. and why did we have nearly 7 minutes at the end of this match today. i hate hearing fans keep moaning about the so called poor refs but todays ref just looked like he was desperate to give as much as he could to the 'home team'.
