Jim's "clearance" did NOT go to the player who scored.

The ball goes to their player outside the box who then passes it to Mcguire to shoot and score.
If you want to be really picky, then did any other Barnsley player try to close Mcguire down..... NO. Or the other player who passed to Mcguire.... NO.
Jimbo will feel bad, but there were these two phases which could have been alleviated.
Not making excuses for Jim's error, but don't be too hard on him.

That is a rational take on it. Jim will be hurting enough already.

Just seen the goal on the shitty football league show and I know that Jim played a bloody stupid ball but I completely agree with you about us having enough time, space and opportunity to close the move down and we didn't. Collectively poor.

P!ss poor pass to him (behind him actually) from Dawson.

Think the tiredness was showing by that stage of the match. Long time to play with 10 men.

Regardless of who it went to, it was a shocking decision by Jimbo to attempt to play across the danger area.

You do realise your own constant petulant digs at posters on this forum are just as embarrasing as what some people have posted right ?

Why did Jim decide playing a nothing square ball back into a danger area where Wednesday had men unmarked and waiting was better than hoofing it down the line or just out for a throw in to take the pressure off. It wasn't losing the game so much that makes me angry, it's the manner in which we gave them the goal in the 97th minute of the game, we'd done all the hard work to go mental and bin it all. I have to add as well that first booking for Frimpong was very unfortunate, yes he was crazy getting involved so soon after being warned but the Wednesday player played for that booking, watch the footage back and you'll see that he never actually touched him. i suppose what's done is done though. In Danny we trust.

I agree. Shea didn't close him down quick enough and Steele probably should have done better.
