    You definitely must be.

It baffles me that people are prepared to watch Dawson and Jim run around like headless loons all game, offering nothing going forward AND losing the ball in posistions which costs us goals or put us under pressure. Yet Paddy who is by far the best passer, dribbler and creative brain in the squad gets slated when he hasn't cost us a goal all season.

I thought we were talking about Paddy & Shea, I'm no fan of either Dawson or O'Brien, both likeable lads but neither are anything better than squad players in all honesty.

If we're talking about an individual mistake than Paddy hasn't passed to an opposition player on the edge of the box like Dawson or Jim have but that's understandable as he's further up the pitch. If we're talking about costing us goals by losing runners & leaving full backs to run past him then Paddy has done that plenty of times

I would definitely have brought Paddy on. Shea has been very ineffectual the part two games and lollops around most of the time offering little or no defensive support at least Paddy creates and scores. I like Shea and thought he dud ok against Birmingham but his performances have been a steady decline since then. The point about Dawson and jOB is a good one they put us in far more danger of conceding far more regularly than Paddy does.

No he hasn't. If you don't rate him, fine. We're all allowed our opinions. But to say he's caused us to concede plenty of goals for failing to track back on runners is simply not true. A few weeks ago you said he's had loads of bad games. Yet he's only played about a dozen matches. So it's impossible for him to have 'loads' of bad games, even if he's had a bad game every time he's played. It's quite obvious that even though you don't rate Paddy, you can't claim that's actually happened.
Some of us believe Paddy is a wonderfully gifted player who can add something constructive to our team. However, I'm not going to start making things up to try and back up my argument.

He hasn't cost us any. But prejudice needs untruths and inaccuracies to support it. Disappointingly, but unsurprisingly, Shea is being offered up as the new scapegoat.

It's a debate that's been done to death. I can't remember individual errors throughout the season, I can't even remember M'Voto's & Kennedy's never mind looking at the likes of Paddy. I'll go with Danny Wilson's judgement on Paddy.

If you think Paddy should be starting for us then fair enough.

If anyone think's Paddy should be coming on for us when we're a man down & not chasing the game then I think you're absolutely crackers.

If you can't remember individual errors which result in us conceding goals, then perhaps it'd be better not to claim Paddy has done it plenty of times, when he hasn't done it once?

As I said above I'm not claiming a goals come from him making one big clanger. I'm saying he's contributed towards us conceding goals by not tracking runners & allowing our full backs to be doubled up on because he's a lazy *******.

    Shea > Paddy for me.

I appreciate Paddy's liked by some because he's a piss head & he'll score a couple of wonder goals a season but for most fans Bolton was the final straw when the majority of our home crowd cheered the decision to take him off.

I'm bored of the whole debate & I'm done posting about him, I think he'll be gone when the loan window re opens anyway as Wilson's clearly not a fan.

You think we like Paddy because you claim he's a piss head? Good grief.

I'm not speaking for you two personally.

In general yes, him having a reputation as a pisshead aids his popularity. In the same way O'Brien's popularity is aided by his twitter account & been seen round town.

Hear loads of people saying play Paddy or play Jim he's a 'reyt lad'.

Anyway like I say I'm done. The Paddy subjects boring now

No one's suggesting you can't pass on your opinions about Paddy, or anyone else for that matter. Of course you're allowed to do it. However, when you make claims about him that simply aren't true (at fault on plenty of occasions for us conceding goals, having loads of bad games, etc.) to affirm your views, then others (myself included) will pull you up on them.

I like Shea. He does plenty of tracking back and has some pace. He'll come good, you don't get 20 odd caps for the USA without having a bit of quality.

Paddy should be an impact player at this level although it wasn't the right game for him yesterday (but it wasn't for Cywka either imo).

Shea's a better all round player for the team and whose legs have done a lot less mileage (i.e. he's quick). Bizarrely poor in the air though.

O'Brien has played well in spells this season but his lack of quality has cost us a goal YET AGAIN. Not a right back.

He aint a right back, but if we are talking sloppy balls in dangerous areas then we have a lot of players lacking quality and that happened on quite a few occasions yesterday, the other mistakes were dealt with that one wasn`t.
