Time to be moved on imo. Can't fault the work rate of either but lack the quality needed at Championship level. At this moment in time we need another option.
M'Court has more skill than both of them put together and surely has a part to play in proceedings, but I accept his work ethic is his downfall.
Somehow Danny Wilson has to try and accommodate such a talent rather than relying on the toil and strife of the aforementioned players.

I don't think any of the 3 mentioned should be starting to be honest. Jennings, Mellis, Hassell or Frimpong & Shea would be my midfield if all are available. I'd rather see Cwyka play if of the wide players are injured & Lawrence play if Mellis is injured with Frimpong & Hassell & maybe Digby battling for the holding spot

O brien was man of the match the other week..

Aye Joe Joyce was man of the match about 1987 let's give him a game. I like Jimbob. Decent sub to have around. Dawson tries bless him but lacks quality. We can't rely on either in central midfield. I'd rather Digby be given a run myself.

Why do they need to be moved on, when Danny has all players up to speed , which aint going to happen overnight, they may not be starting but will be options off the bench.

Both players contracts are up at the end of the season that will be the time for Danny`s decision on them.

Most were shouting for Kennedy out yet his performances have improved under Wilson.

Sorry Jimmy but that doesn't make sense.

JOB is palying well now. He didn't have the best time yesterday but that was playing out of position.

Not sure throwing Digby into the game yesterday would have been the right thing, we needed experience.

Agreed the experience let us down but was the more sensible option given the circumstances.

Time to move Dawson on with kelvin, Digby better than both.

Agree both fall into the not good enough category.

Jim has even just rejected a new contract offer on FIFA, said he's not valued enough and wants a lot more money, or he's leaving at end of season when his contract is up. So he's put up for sale and only Leyton Orient want him.

O'Brien is a battler who will always give 100% wherever he plays. We need more quality than battlers at this moment in time. His shooting ability and final pass are a constant letdown.

When you're down the bottom you need some fight. A team with mellis and mccourt in its starting 11 every week will be relegated before the end of feb.

Given that Dawson has played in most of the games then that argument is self defeating. I'd try hard if I played for Barnsley doesn't make me good enough to do so.

It's all about finding the correct balance between quality and fight. O'Brien and Dawson in the same side will relegate us also before the end of the month.

Didn't dawson play the majority of the games out of position or alongside the lightweight that was perkins?

Personally I think Dawson is good on the bench or in certain games and O'Brien was excellent in the middle a couple of weeks ago and offers a lot of energy on the wing as well

Don't forget that O'Brien isn't a right back so he's bound to make mistakes there when the inflexibility of our defenders forces him to cover there because they aren't good enough to do it themselevs

And also contributed with a wayward pass that ultimately led to the winning goal as well as a howler against Birmingham that led to The Zidic goal. I like Jim but he's just an average player in this league and at the moment we need better than average.

I think I've seen every game Jim's played for us and he's consistently tried hard but lacks quality. In those 100 plus games I'd say he's been excellent on about 5 occasions. A decent squad player to run around if you are chasing the game.

Take the point about the full backs a problem for all our players.

Dawson has been given a fair run by Danny but clearly he feels he isn't good enough with the recruitment of Frimpong. Time to ease him out and get Digby in.

I think we may need all our players currently in the first team squad. As the season progresses, injuries, suspensions & loss of form will play a part in the run in and I believe we'll require all the players we have to bring their own particular strengths to the table and play their part in our survival.

At the back end of last season, there were times when a number of our players were running on empty and carrying injuries. We couldn't really freshen things up to any great extent. However, I'd like to think Danny Wilson will have more options and better quality available to him.
