Reminded me of Paul Warhurst against Wednesday a few years back. An accident waiting to happen. Danny Boy should have subbed him after the first booking. To me it looked inevitable that he'd get another yellow card before too long. Management should have been proactive and got him off.
Well he'd had two prior warnings for challenges. Then got booked twice in seven mins (24th and 31st). So by only the 24th minute he'd done three challenges the ref didn't like. So yeah I agree he should have been taken off at that point. Dawson is the easy replacement for him saturday. No clear cut replacement for Mellis though..... Lawrence: Hardly fit to start. Woods: Even less fit. JOB: Blamed by some for Wednesday winner. Tom Pole: Never does it from the start. McCourt: Seems out of favour. Digby: Would be my pick.
Totally agree that Danny should have taken him off. I turned to my lad after the booking and said he's going off today. It was pretty obvious what was coming...
It's my first post and thought a gentle message of agreement with Jimmy Cricket would be a pleasant way to start.
Frimpong reminded me of Cheik Tiote of Newcastle. Same role and same style of player. I think that he was and is the right signing for us as a robust ball-winner/defensive midfielder to protect the back four. His temperament has been an issue in the past, but it must be that Danny and Micky believe they can sort out his discipline and mould him into the player we need. From Frimpong's point of view, it has to be amongst the last chances he might get to prove to the premiership what a quality player he really is. Hope we can sort him out, because we need him and he is the right type of player for me.
You've relegated King Bobby to the bench, in your first ever post? You've had a worse start than Manny! Poor start sir. Poor start. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
