Ipswich at home on Saturday. We're going to be without Frimpong & Mellis and the game's probably come a little too soon for McLaughlin. However, that means other players now have the opportunity to stake their claims for a regular place in the starting line up, especially in midfield. I'd like to think think the management & players can vent their anger and frustration from Saturday, channelling it in an appropriate manner. We need to start picking up wins, especially at home, and I believe we have the players to do it. A few years ago, jedi one told me of a phrase they used in the Armed Forces, "Lead, follow, or f**k off!". I think that's going to be very apt for these next three months.
I personally think we need to ditch 4-4-2. 4-1-3-2 for me. Bobby back in front of the back 4. Otherwise Digby. Lawrence in the middle, with Jennings and Shea. Nick and COG up front Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I think with the players at his disposal, Danny can adopt a variety of formations to suit, whether it be over a series of matches, or within a game.
Agreed. If Danny is sticking with 4-4-2, Hassell and Lawrence straight swaps for Mingmong and Mellis Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Quite suprised at your recent language Kev, not something I really expect to find in your posts, you are normally quite considered. There are younger members who read this forum. Is it really appropriate?
Yeah, you're probably right, mate It IS out of character for me and I will do my best to curb it future.
Made me a little happier reading this post. I had serious monk on from Saturdays game. We got robbed by the atrocious refereeing. 3 points on Saturday please.
Wonder which branch of the Armed Forces he was in. I was in and around the RAF for 40 years and never heard that one. Sounds like a pongo kind of phrase
He was in the Army, serving in Northern Ireland on more than one occasion, but I've no idea which regiment he was a member of.
Well the nature of that job requires a fair bit of leadership and following of course. Not so much in my blue-suited world though. A lot more self-reliance and initiative at play there.
An uplifting post and couldn't agree more; life for us is never easy but need to fight, fight, fight for this club!
We CAN do this, we WILL do this. We have the right man in as manager. We have some skilful players. We have some experienced players. We have some powerful players. We have some hard working players. We have some talented & enthusiastic young players. I believe we'll survive.
Re: Well said Thats the spirit, and exactly the right attitude when you're in a bit of a pickle - and trust me, I've been through enough relegation battles (including now lol). Too many want to throw in the towel at the first sign of trouble these days. That's what we're there for, to support our clubs - in good times AND bad.
