Is it me or does anyone else getting the feeling that hemsie isn't a fan of bobby, just call it a hunch.
Not about rating someone it's about asking a question. I thought it was a silly thing to say, We'd have got something if Hassell played over frimpong. How do you know. Frimpongs played a far higher level than Hassell and a lot of the Barnsley team.
To be honest phil I'm not even going to even attempt to try explain to you mate, I'd end up feeling like woody woodpecker on speed
There's no guarantee's but any sane person would thinking Barnsley would have a better chance of gaining a result with Hassell on the pitch for 90 mins over Frimpong been on the pitch for 30 mins.
Of course we'd have been more likely to get something with Hassell playing. Are you trying to say that playing with 11 (including Bobby) is worse than playing with 10 men? Or was it that Frimpong's Champions League aura spurred us on from the changing room bath to keep it at 0-0 with ten men? Maybe it was only the players' knowledge that they had been privileged enough to share the pitch with someone who once played 17 minutes in a Champions League playoff that stopped us from getting tonked 15-0.
Frimpong has 24 starts in professional football, and another 10 sub appearances. 10 Premier League starts included, and 3 in the Champions League. He has picked up 6 bookings and 2 red cards. Amazingly (or not), Bobby Hassell has only been sent off twice in a career that started when Barnsley were a Premier League side.
I have to say I rarely want anyone to shut up as I like a gab myself. But HT's anti Hassell stuff is driving me spare. In like and respected Bobby. I probably don't see him as a regular starter anymore though I know he can slot effectively in a number of positions when asked. Could you also look in the dictionary at the meaning of regular. Turning every discussion into to and tie Hassell camps is just chuffing boring. As us your worshipping of players from the prem. Liam Lawrence has played more premiership games than Frimpong. He's a young lad with a lot to learn and not much time to learn it in.
Hoping to put an end to this silly argument...that statement may well not be true......Bobby played at West Brom away in 2010...this is the highest ground in the country...unless Frimpong has played at that level..the honour belongs to the Ginger Prince
Do you know, in his last 50 league starts for BFC, we've only lost 10 of them. They stretch back into Robins' final season, mind.
Totally agree infact I mentioned same in one of my posts on Saturday after the game. Although cranie didn't go to speak to him I'm as dssapointed as none of the others spoke to him r tried to calm him down as well. I saw this happening last season though, players having words with each other encouragement and calm words it needs to happen again this season if we mean buisness in staying up. Imo
Without reading through the pages or replies... I think Cranie has been immense this season. Great in the air and on the floor. You need a Captain who can lead by example and he's been our most consistent performer. You can't really look up to a Captain who can't get in the team or who isn't performing. Centre half is probably the best position to have a captain as well, he can see everything ahead of him. Obvious choice for me.
Nobody's denying that assessment but a captain should also give encouragement/bollockings, guidance and have the respect of the payers not just cos he's the best payer
