No, I've not robbed Mr C's 'Old Oakwell' prints. I've been asked to see if there's any interest in a modern painting of the ground, viewed from the Ponty End. The image below is the stage he's got to so far. Feel free to either speak to him yourself on twitter, or let me know in this thread if it's summat you might fancy a copy of.

*I'm not on commission either. I merely came across the guys artwork, and suggested an Oakwell piece would have some interest. I'll look a bit of a bell now if no fcuker wants one (remember, it's not done yet, and I gave him plenty of photos to copy from).

**And yes, I know I'm already a bit of a bell.

I had never realised the Ponty end was the shape of a rugby ball or is that artistic license?

Not a bad effort but doesn't seem as good as some of his others, he's chosen the wrong angle and I'm not keen on the exaggerated panorama.

And the white lines, players, scoreboard and most importantly the empty seats. Right load of ****.

It will look quality when he's finished it, that I do know.

My reasons for not buying it are simple - I don't buy art. I like looking at them, but I've nowhere to hang the things.

I just stumbled across his work and he promised to do Oakwell. I then remembered folk liked Mr C's effort at Old Oakwell and so told him I'd spread the word and see if anyone was interested.

I suppose if you've a spare room for this sort of stuff then bob on. But we haven't got a spare room for owt like that, and I don't think r lass would like me sticking up paintings of Oakwell, Paddy McCourt and Kevin Donovan all over the front room or bedrooms.

*Remember, it's not finished yet. He's doing the detail today. If he sticks another photo up I'll let you know. Plenty of takers so far, probably based on his previous work. Anfield and Goodison in particular looked bang on.

He's also wiped Monk Bretton off the map, should be visible in the North-East corner.
