    It is a lot but then they did know the rules and they chose to ignore them so deserve the same fine as anyone else. Personally it'd just be a 10 point deduction instead

    Tottenham got let off by the PL/FA for Tim Sherwood not having the correct badges.

    It is a joke that they fine Accrington bug not Tottenham another example of how the smaller clubs mean nothing at all to the FA.

    bottom line is they're the rules. they apply to everyone, accrington included. unfortunately, ignorance is not a defence. if accrington don't know the rules of recruiting a manager, that's their own stupid fault really.

    i don't think citing old managers is a defence either. the rules were different then, and it would be silly to try and apply retrospectively. would be like asking all existing drivers to take the theory test, just because new ones have to.

    accrington stanley...who are dry??

    for the record, i believe it's completely wrong, if the rules are only applied selectively

    I didn't know this, but if it's the case, then surely Accrington have opportunity to question the decision?

    To me, modern day football is being run by idiots, which is why I don't have a love for the professional game any more. I even see stupidity creeping into grass roots football and that is beginning to frustrate me.

    It's only BFC that keeps my affinity to the game.

    Best thing The FA could do.

    I'm working hard to get my football coaching to be a professional football coach and I haven't got the advantages of being a footballer like most managers. James Beattie shouldn't just get on because he's played football. Where's the fairness to people like me who also want to be involved in the game? Beattie may be a cracking coach but also could be *****. Doesn't give him the right just to get on because he's played football or people like me would never get a job in professional sport.
