He's an International, Phil. He's played at the top - Champions League. He's played for one of the world's biggest clubs, Celtic. I thought he'd be one of your favourites...
Paddy if we where mid table side. But we cnt afford to lose another game, so for that reason ad go with Shea.
Either. Both a total luxury that can do something a little bit different. Paddy can win a game on his own with his sublime skills. Without doubt the most talented player we have BUT at times he slows play down too much and when losing the ball shows no will to win it back. Also get the feeling with Paddy that he knows whether 'he's on it' in the first ten mins and if he isn't he gives up. Shea looked good in his first couple of games but has gone off the boil. We need to stop faffing about with what position he is playing and give him a definitive role eg Right Wing. Can cross a ball as well as anyone in the squad but also very lazy. Tough choice. Glad it's not mine!
In terms of entertainment value, Paddy obviously. In terms of winning a football match, IMO, Shea to start and Paddy from the bench. Cywka didn't do much against Wednesday when he came on - it's only right that Paddy gets his chance now.
I've seen Shea have a good game, an average game and a poor game. Paddy's had about five good minutes. Shea might have less flare but offers more overall.
Yeah but those 5 minutes resulted in goals and points on the board. Middlesbrough, Brighton etc Not seen Shea do anything remotely connected to goal-scoring or goal-saving.
Paddy is exciting (in flashes) when he gets the ball but for long periods him being on the pitch feels like being down to 10 men. Shea offers more balance and stability imo. I'd sacrifice both for a consistent wide player.

I've only seen him play twice, so I'm guessing you're referring to his Birmingham performance? Not seen him defend myself. Neither have I seen him win a header. Or run more than Paddy. Funny football innit? We all see different things.
Half a game each. Run themselves to death attacking the opposition, always up with the furthest forward attacker, getting in the box, taking on the opposition, don't bother with any of defending malarky, then swap at half time so we have another to do the same who is fresh as a daisy.
Can't see that Whitey as I am at work unfortunately but jptykes pretty much sums up my thoughts on McCourt.
