Smoking Every week I go 5 days without drinking. Sometimes a couple of weeks without even thinking about it. First thing I do in the morning is have a cig and if I don't I murder people.
Same as Jay. I love a drink, but only do so on a Friday night, Saturday night (and day time if I'm at football). Never drink during the week. Tried to stop smoking, just haven't got the willpower.
Even harder than cigs and booze... BFC. No matter how miserable they make you feel, you keep coming back for more
Smoking without a shadow of a doubt For instance it will be way way more difficult for a moderate smoker to quit than a moderate drinker
Drinking. Smoked a bit but never found it addictive. Would struggle to go to a pub and not have a drink. Have any of the smokers who want to give up but struggled tried hypnotherapy? Mate of mine smoked for years, tried everything that can be tried to stop inc books, patches, injections and has now stopped for a year as a result of hypnotherapy. He was a sceptic too.
Hardest thing to give up? For some it's the belief that KP isn't finished. Takes a stronger hold than heroine apparently.
Drinking. Drank more though in order to enable me to quit smoking. Financially speaking worra result! - Drink seems to have gone down in price, compare that to the exorbitant cost of fags these days.
Drinking cos I don't smoke. Though to be fair I've never tried to stop drinking. I don't trust people who don't drink or people who have a surname that could be a surname or vice versa.
Smoking. I gave up smoking five years ago and I still crave one from time to time but back when I did smoke I was on 15 - 20 a day and if I didn't get one at certain times I could get quite irritable. I drink quite a lot of whisky now but I can go without a drink without too much effort.
Smoking, without a doubt. The only time I ever drink is a couple in the pub before a match. I have smoked for 27 years, and until now, I've never managed to go more than 3 days off the cigs in the last 25 years. I am now 47 days off the cigs, since the day of the Leeds game, using one of those vape pen things. Bloody impressed with myself I can tell you. I am under no illusions that I am still addicted to Nicotine, but one step at a time.
