JLWBL has a much better memory than I. Well, for all things Barnsley FC he does, certainly, although I can't imagine it stops there. I used to think my memory of games was pretty good, but it's not, not compared to JLWBL. It's amazing the stuff he can recollect. But shhhh, don't tell him. Turvey Tyke is pretty special on that front too. He doesn't post nearly enough. He really knows some clog iron. I sort of remember but often have to rely on books and t'internet for the details, where as those guys just know.

Hemsworth just likes whichever pundit has a similar viewpoint on whatever issue is at hand. If they have a different opinion to him on a different argument in the future, they're an idiot. So, you get "You know more about cricket than Michael Vaughan do you?" one month, and "Michael Vaughan's an idiot, if he knew what he was talking he would have averaged more than 41" the next.

I have no problem with Hemsy's opinions. I disagree with them a lot, but he has every right to express them. I jut wish he wouldn't link them to those given by sporting pundits in the belief that validates them. For every pundit that has a similar outlook to Hemsworth, there's another with the polar opposite. And then it turns in to an argument about which pundit knows more, with Hemsworth changing their worth as his stance coincides or differs with theirs. If he just gave his opinion and told us why, he'd be much more fun to talk to. He rates Kevin Pietersen. I can see why. He doesn't need that judgement to be backed up by Ian Botham or whoever, it's valid in its own right. 'I believe this' would see him in far fewer arguments than 'you're wrong 'cos such and such says so.'
