I always think about this date. I knew Mark Jones's son Gary when I was growing up in Wombwell.

I remember going to Mark Jones' funeral, it seemed that everybody in Wombwell were filing past. Went back afterwards to see the wreaths, a football from Red Star Belgrade, a football pitch in flowers from Real Madrid, lots of others I can't remember. I was 8 years old.

Will there be a minutes silence on Saturday for these two lads?

I believe the club should. But then, I thought the club should've shown respect to the passing of Bobby Collins last month and it didn't.

Agree. That's partly why I asked. These are actual Barnsley lads though. Surely there'll be one?

I for one agree Kev, I was very disappointed that the club didn't show Bobby the respect of a minutes silence.

It left a bitter taste in the mouth for me. As we keep claiming we're a community club, I believe it's only right to hold a minute's silence for two outstanding members of our community, taken from us so tragically.
