He's not a trouble maker but he is a very knowledgeable correspondent who thinks that KP is a very talented but very selfish player. He pointed out that despite him being the top scorer on the ashes tour (no achievement) he showed that he was playing for KP and not England with the way he got out on five occasions.
going through old ground but look at who he got out with. He had to go for it when batting with Broad down because they struggled to get 15 between them.
He had to go for it? Really? Each to their own opinion I suppose. I tend to think he should have tried to build an innings for the team, y'know attempt to at least save the match for his team mates rather than look for personal glory.
When the likes of Bannister, Agnew, Boycott, Gower, Willis, Botham, Lamb, Vaughan, Strauss, Gatting and Gooch all say that he gave his wicket cheaply and many of his outs were due to selfish, unnecessary shots then there has to be some substance to the opinion.
They did look cheap but anyone could see thar broad anderson swann borthwick or whoever wasn't getting any. He knows they didn't look good but he would hope people would look further than there nose and see who was at other game. 60 red ink isn't what he looks for. 50 and try and hit the best players out of the attack which he's done a lot and try and get 70/80 what he looks for
He really should have tried to build an innings to help win a test for the team. The KP glory shots did nothing to help anybody including the man holding the bat.
Other than your post being largely unintelligible, the best thing to do was to play a responsible innings and not take risks. Not attempt to hit out because you thing the guy at the other end is a crap batsman.
7/10 Mario there wasn't any building to be done. When you get down to Broad (Normally hes very good and Avg 24) then it was a matter of balls to the end of the innings.
I said this in page one (and three) - KP is no longer an England cricketer, his time is over, we move on.
Right Phil. You keep quoting former players. Can I ask you why? What are you aiming to prove, what's the point you're making?
No points just posting what people are thinking. Think hes got stick on this forum and it wasn't called for in the winter so hoping those who gave him stick read it. He was that much a individual and only cared about himself that it looks like he's given up about 10 million pound over the last 5 years and it could be double that because he loves playing for England.
We can all posts links to opinion pieces. Proves nothing. http://blogs.aljazeera.com/blog/sport/it-right-time-pietersens-exit
