    What a load of ******.

Which city doesn't have a football team?

Wakefield?? They do have a team. They play at the Wakefield Wildcats Stadium. It's the team that was formerly Emley.

Not now, but Emley became Wakefield fc, Fired is correct. Emley reformed a few years ago.

    Chichester
    Durham
    Ely
    Gloucester
    Hereford
    Lichfield
    Lincoln
    Ripon
    Salford
    Salisbury
    St Albans
    Truro
    Wells

I don't think they knew what they meant. All I can think is that it was an out of date question.

If they were talking about cities without a club altogether, I think they had several candidates... Westminster must be one, and maybe Salford.

St Davids in Wales might not even have a pub team.

Yeah, he was when they were Wakefield and Emley. Didn't his lad play for them and then get into trouble with the Police? Or maybe I dreamed that.

Thought he was manager when they were just Emley when they played West Ham in FA cup.

    West Ham 2 Emley 1 1997/98.

He was manager when they played Rotherham in the Cup at Oakwell. I was sat in the Ponty a few rows behind Gerry Taggart.

Salford have a club don't they? Sure it was mentioned recently that Giggs and Neville were looking to invest in them.

True. One caller even said Ripon and was told he was wrong. The question was stupid.

Emley had quite a bit of success didn't they pre-merger with Wakefield? What went wrong? Weren't they a win away from the Conference but lost out to Stalybridge? Sure some Barnsley fans went along to offer support because Stalybridge brought loads of Man City fans too.
