For me a problem we have is the backing at home. Like today folk seemed more interested in having a go at Stewards. There hasn't been an atmosphere of decent crowd all season, need to back the team to the hilt. We need some fight and the lack of atmosphere and the lack of fans through the turnstiles can't help. I've seen facebook comments from people from Barnsley laughing at there hometown club. Needs a big change in home games and even more interest away from home.
Wednesday and the rest of Yorkshire call us thick inbreds, and it as to be said their right too thick to learn songs, signing 5 words form a song the ummimg and mumbling until the five words come again is pointless, we may as well sit their quiet, singing as fast as possible to finish the song as because they feel embarrassed is no good ether, just don't bother, more then two syllables and majority of our support are proper fecked and rest are just silly old B'astads that have never ever sang a song YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYOOOOOOOOOOUUUUU RRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
What's changed then? Ten years ago in League One we seemed capable of creating a decent atmosphere. Witty songs, good backing for the team. Is it a lack of interest? Culture change in support? Younger fans not bothered? I remember loads of faces who used to get everyone going, never see them nowadays. Surely it's not simply the team's performances... we were even worse back then!
Look around ya when you go to away games a large percentage of our following are oap that just refuse to sing and rest are kids who's grandads tell um be quiet or their not coming again, mid 20 to late 40 year olds can't afford to go anymore because they have young family's to provide for so they send kids with their dads instead and the old c'unts are killing it off
Maybe the lyrics should be recorded and available to download on them phones that most seem to look at whilst the games in progress. Better still turn volume up and belt em out simultaneously or summat. Support aint what it use to be that`s for sure at home and it aint just us.
So iys the fans fault for the 2 goals???? I dont get this post at all. Fans were ok today.. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
Am offended by thi pigeonholing every owd person the same. If it weren`t for the owd c`unts we probably wunt hev a club, we need all age groups yer gret ****hook.
Huge dearth of fans aged 18-35 in our fan base, especially away from home. Wasn't always the case. Perhaps money is the answer. I know of loads of mates aged 20-30 who simply don't go anymore.
Your right we'd go under 5k home crowds with out the people with pit pension and no mortgage paying £100 a season less then full paying adults, but atmosphere would not change one bit because they don't back their team vocally anyway, the age group that would back the team have been priced out and by time they can afford to go they spent that much time with the wife at weekends they've been trained to be seen and not heard
We've got too many negative fans. Been talking to one of the Ipswich staff post game, he said he couldn't believe how negative some of our fans in the west stand were before we conceded. He couldn't understand why a side that were 2-0 up against a side pushing for the play offs were abusing members of their own side & to be honest he's spot on. Got to get that atmosphere back that we had post Christmas last year in all our games
There was young and old mekkin some noise back end of last season or was it just thee and thi mates singing louder. Dunt know what answer is but for me the lack of atmosphere takes away from the matchday experience. Yours an owd *****.
performances and wins created that atmosphere. we've been gash all season under flicker, and have 1 win in 10 under danny. i can totally understand why fans are feeling flat. i fell short of abusing the team, but when i saw the line up i had no belief we would win. at 2-0 i still felt they would get a goal back, and at 2-1 i never felt we'd grind out the win.
When I was a young fan it was our job to make all the noise and the old uns trying to shut us up. Bit different these days, it was like a library at the start of the game. So come on you young uns stop expecting the old uns to help you out. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Hammered 6-0 by Charlton and cant ever remember an atmosphere like it. Were we really gash ALL season under Flicker?
We've got to back them though. It seems some of our fans would rather abuse individuals on Facebook or tag the likes of Kennedy & O'Brien in abusive tweets. We should back Danny, he's moved on a lot of the perceived dead wood & is trying to turn things round.
i think people are backing danny. but he's no different to any other manager. if he makes mistakes, he should expect to get questioned.
