Off to Hamburg next weekend. Anybody got any tips/recommendations on things to do? Will be with the Mrs though, so a night on the Reeperbahn is out of the equation! Thanks in advance...
http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attractions-g187331-Activities-Hamburg.html Plus the Sankt Pauli stadium isn't too far from the Reeperbahn, so it'd be rude not to stop off for one beer...
Hope you and the wife have a great wee holiday mate. Will you be taking in any games while you are there. Seems a shame not to. Sample something a wee bit different.
Yeah, got tickets for St Pauli v Bochum. Will check out the Imtech Stadium tour as well, probably... PS Not wife. Costs too much
Get on a boat. There's cruises around the harbour area, starting from the Landungsbrücken (landing stages) in St Pauli. Alternatively, go to Jungfernstieg where there are boat trips around the Alster lake and through the canals in the heart of the city. For eating, the Portugiesenviertel (Portuguese quarter) has loads of Portuguese and Spanish restaurants, specially for seafood. Have a look round the Rathaus town hall) and the Fischmarkt (fish market) although most people usually turn up there about 5am on a Sunday morning!
Ha. Yeah, we're actually stopping at the Ibis just off the Reeperbahn, so we'll definitely pop in for one or two. Just nothing with neon dancing girls above the door.
Go back and stick an "N" on the end of "tage", and change the "t" to a "T". German lessons on the BBS hee hee!
my overall score is slowly slipping further down the scale I did score 76/100 on my first assessment, pretty chuffed with that.
