Clearly problems between KP and rest of team led to KP's 'demise' Have we ever had a similar problem at Oakwell - a player who didn't fit in and was quickly moved on?
Allegedly, according to rumours, etc, Ron Futcher left after assaulting the dressing room door and I think John Deehan and Malc Shotton had a bit of fisticuffs after a game resulting in one leaving (think it was Shotton). Although both events were years ago and my memory could be completely wrong.
Futch kicked door in at Charlton after scoring hat trick but we lost 4 3. Deehan and Shotts had a fight on team bus at Bramall lane
I wouldn't have thought so. All the posters above have put something but also put a reason why and I'm sure the club at that time would have a reason why. They have NOT told KP a situation when hes committed this crime hes meant to have done even after he apparently asked multiple times.
Do they really need to spell it out to him? Texting people on a rival team about your captain and telling them how to get him out speaks for itself.
Thats gone, done finished. There was lots of wrongs then and not just KP as Matt Prior said himself. Interesting article last night that Broad wanted him in the Caribbean and for the T/20 world cup and some suit in the ECB's said no.
Can you imagine if that was Bobby Hassell txting a few Donny players this week, slagging off Martin Cranie and giving them tips on how to combat Chris O'Grady? Hemsworth's opinion would be the polar opposite of his current KP-loving stance.
point one. Thats gone. Second point. we don't know what was said and likely aren't until the back end of this year when hopefully KP will talk about it. Some are saying there may be a book if he isn't in the team in the summer and it's going to be a must read. third point. If bobby or any barnsley player texts a Doncaster player this week then thats up to them. I would imagine a few of the players will be texting each other this week. M'Voto and Woods and maybe a couple more or so.
Aye, oreight Phil. Tha wa ******* crying about Bobby a couple of months ago for giving money to charity, saying he was wrong to publicise it. Speaking of 'must read' books though in the Summer, I hope Bobby's is out by then. Although he may wait until he retires, which isn't going to be any time soon.
What do you mean that's gone? Cricket is a team game, and team games depend on spirit and trust. The fact that he did something like that cannot be completely forgotten and will always cause some level of friction and resentment.
What Phil means is, that was something that hurts his argument and so by saying it's gone, it doesn't affect his argument. I think that's how it works anyway.
It's gone. Broad telling is mate info from the dressing room about KP so he could use it for is parody. Broad also invited is friend to private areas of the clubs that the England players got. Thats gone too. Broad was seen out drinking with KP in Australia. You can't bring up old stuff.
KP let the whole team and country down. He was prob our best player for a few years. However his inclusion could arguably dissolved the dressing room. He has shown himself at every team he has been at to be not worth the hassle. Good riddance to someone who believes he's bigger than the team. Bigger than the sport. Like Gazza he was amazing. But could have been so much better. Whereas bobby is a legend by playing for the team and being the most professional player we have ever had. A real true hero that has made the maximum of his talent through hard work. Digby and Stones both spoken about how he was a huge driving force behind their acheivement. Give me a Bobby over a KP every day of the week.
