im not his biggest fan by any stretch, but I think its his time now. he has sat a few games out and needs to replace Shea, for me Shea is not fitting in to this English style if u like. hopefully if he he does play he can produce something special.

I agree.....and if Frimpong can keep his head, he may be the man to boss the midfield and give Paddy some freedom to create havoc.

Got to say at the minute I think he's our best option to replace Shea, then when paddy tired after 60 mins bring Cwyka on.

Without Mellis were lacking some creativity that Paddy can offer.

I reckon Paddy would be up for the game on Saturday too.

Saldy we seem to lack the same quality even with Mellis.

Paddy is the sort of player who can turn a game on its head, and I get the feeling we'll only need one spark of genius from him to get a win on Saturday

It's a fair point. We've not really got a 'Butterfield' of 'Vaz Te' in our team.

I think we need to be careful because people seem to be lumping a lot of hope on Paddy and if he does get selected, people will berate him if he doesn't change the game or score a wondergoal and again slate him for not defending or tracking back.

Please let him start on Saturday!
Surely it cannot be Dawson n O'brien again.
We need to go for it and play an attacking minded team.Even if we lose at least we will have had a go.

We need the sort of kick start that only someone with angels in his feet like Paddy can provide.

Paddy is a great talent, but these type of players don't produce week in, week out. It's a part of their character that you have to live with.

I'm afraid that BFC, probably like most clubs, have a % of the fan base that berate such players when they don't produce.

You don't need a long memory to realise these fans were slating Paddy just a few weeks ago!

Aye it's a shame that they don't berate the many players we have who don't ever produce anything.

Expect blood and thunder so prefer Cywka to start over Shea and paddy come on with plenty of time if needed when they have tired. Wilson will need to watch Frimpong like a hawk

Yep, Paddy for me. Even though he looks like a Donny fan.

I'd go O'Brien, Frimpong, Hassell & Jennings in midfield. If Hassell's not fit then start Woods.
I want to see the midfield built around allowing Jennings to excel, playing any of Cwyka, Shea or Paddy on the wing who all like to get forward will mean Jennings will end up tucking in a lot as the midfield becomes a three.

Any of Paddy, Cwyka & Shea could be useful additions off of the bench depending what side of the bed they got out of

    He needs to play.

I am a massive fan - I am a fan of all players of his ilk. Not saying he should start out of any bias on my part but a) we know he can win a match on his own and b) he must surely (if he is worth his salt) want to prove a point to King Danny and that fact alone could guarantee 3 vital points. And with COG firing on all cylinders again would be nice to see him feeding off the scraps ...... (think Middlesboro at home).

In short, I would start him.

I think we definitely need more than just Jennings that likes to go forward from the midfield. Be nice to have someone on the other wing to cause problems, and I'd like to see that be Paddy.
Frimpong and Hassell should give us enough stability to let the other two off the reigns a bit.

I think the right back position is the biggest concern. Any news on Hunt and McLaughlin? Will Bobby slot straight in if required? I'm sure Phil will sort it out when he gets up.

I just feel that with Donny winning a couple of recent home games 3-0 we need to pick a solid midfield that'll keep us in the game by the hour mark. Hopefully if we're winning we won't need any of them but if we're behind or drawing you've got the option of bringing on one of Cwyka, Paddy or Shea

It's definitely time to leave Jim on the bench. That's a midfield set up for a draw and we need a little more than that I think.

Why have a go at fans who don't rate him as highly as others but not mention that it's the manager who's keeping him out of the team? When it was Hassell never getting a snif under Hillcroft people were making their opinions known. Yet it seems despite Wilson doing same to Paddy instead of being blamed for not playing him as the manager who picks the team, it's the people who don't rate Paddy as much that are getting attacked.

I'd love him to be selected

If it were up to me, he'd be guaranteed a place in the starting line up. I love watching skilful players and Paddy's as skilful a player as they come. Also, I believe we're a better team & more likely to create chances with him in than we are when he's not.
