Don't understand the hate for Froch personally. Won some big fights in the past, seems a decent bloke. Was about fifteen seconds away from finishing Groves last time. The My Special Day on Sky over Christmas was good too, he was top drawer with the young lad with cancer. Chalk one down for Team Froch in this one.
Team Cobra all the way. Groves gave it his all in the first bout, but failed to put him away. Froch then schooled him for a couple of minutes and was on the verge of hospitalising him. Can't see why so much fuss was made of it. You can't call a result/decision unfair just because you dominated the fight before getting battered without reply. Excited about the rematch though. I hope Groves brings his 'A' game again, because it was a fantastic fight last time between a young upstart, and an experienced warrior.
If the article is to be believed and it's between Emirates and Old Trafford it will be in Manchester. No way with Froch as the champion will he face a Londoner in London with over 60,000 southerners baying for his blood. He will be making Groves come back up north.
Pretty much how I see it YT. Groves won't perform to that same level this time, he gave his best in the last fight and it wasn't enough. Froch however can perform a hell of a lot better than he did in the first fight, and his poor performance in the last fight was enough to win. Froch to win by KO in the last 4 rounds. As it is 2 English lads I aren't that bothered who wins, but I would prefer it to be froch as i really enjoy watching his fights and want to see him continue with some mega fights against the best out there.
That's how I feel, Ponty. They're both English and both are proper fighting men. But I favour Froch based on following his entire career pretty much. I always wanted my boxing hero Calzaghe to face him but it never happened. This kind of makes up for that, and Carl will know this time that he has to be on his game because Groves might not be able to knock him out, but he could easily beat him on points if Froch doesn't show up for six or seven rounds again. Just watched the pair of em on Sky Sports News (live stream, I don't pay for it) bantering. Quite funny it was. The verbal exchanges for the next 12 weeks will be worth watching. Tyson Fury fighting on Saturday as well against some random American. Looking forward to him and Chisora getting it on in the Summer hopefully, that too will be just as entertaining before a punch is thrown. Love boxing.
I like both fighters & have followed them from the start. Don't mind who wins just want it to be another cracker. I think the Froch hate comes mainly from casual fans who've only got to know him recently. The keen fans who've followed him from the start & had to watch him on internet streams in tough world title fights won't turn on him now after he's said a few disrespectful things.
I've watched him from start, and I've never liked his personality as a boxer and his ******** that he spouts but having seen a few programs of him with that scouser he's shagging and his mates and brothers he seems a decent bloke and theirs no doubt he's a top class fighter but I hope groves beats him
Froch will win on points, referee wont stop it this time unless its by count out. Groves is good but Froch as an iron chin and wont get caught cold as he did in the last fight
I don't think groves is as good as the last fight made him look as he upped it and got better or as Carl got old over night we'll have to wait and see by all means make predictions but I don't think any of us know to be honest as the boxers themselves don't until they get in the ring
