I'd say we're a few places higher than we ought to be.

All matches won and lost. Switzerland are as high as they are because their world cup qualifying group was terrible. Think they dropped 4 points in it, including 2 against Cyprus.

Cape Verde Islands 27th? Wow! I'd have them against the Faroe Islands as a 50-50

Yep. Colombia have recently drawn with the Dutch and beaten Belgium in friendlies, as well as finishing runners up to Argentina in the World Cup qualification standings, ahead of Chile who they didn't lose to (the brilliant Chileans who made England look pathetic recently). They have Falcao up front who would waltz into our side.

Switzerland won their World Cup qualifying group without defeat, ahead of Iceland, Norway and Slovenia. And let's remember, they beat eventual winners Spain in the last World Cup, but went out in the group stages on four points.

I think the rankings are ******** myself, but I do think England are about the 16th best in the World so the rankings have got summat (nearly) right.

I don't think it's done on average weight, if it was we'd be ranked higher on the basis that we've got Rooney.

The ranking systems are a measure of how a team is consistent.

Do I think that all the teams above England would beat England in a one of game or a double leg home or away? NO but thats that.

Nadal didn't play for a while in Tennis, didn't get points on the board and slipped down the rankings. The same things happened to Murry. Is Murry 6th best in the world? quite simply NO but hes not been consistently getting points for a little while and not able to defend big totals like getting to the final of the Aussie open so he Lost a load of points.

Back to Football. I would fancy England beating the likes of Chile Greece USA Belgium Columbia Switzerland and Portugal and maybe Netherlands and Italy too.

The only teams I would fear playing above England are
Spain (Can keep the ball very well and in the heat thats important although England showed if they can defend right they can attack them on counter in that friendly)

Germany ( Good until. A lot of them play together in there club teams. But they have bad days too and we've seen that players in there league thats come over and struggled to perform. Ozil a star for the national teams defend-able and podolski's not really a threat for me like some made out when he played over there. People might say i'm silly but I would prefer a Walcott or even Townsend and a couple more to him. But they know how to win ugly and thats something England need to do. There defence for me's questionable too but they have great blockers in front of them. )

Brazil(the way they played last summer was special but again at the back they can be tested. People can say what they want for me about Rooney and Carroll/ Sturridge but I feel they all can offer different things and Rooneys a great team player and one of the best in the world. He's actually the person I would make captain out in Brazil. I feel it will give him something different and help him now he's 28)

Having had another look at the World Cup Groups, I think England will have done exceptionally well if we get out of the group stage.

Not sure what you mean whitey but Im fed up with people saying thing like that.
Rooney, Lampard are two of the names that get mentioned.

Just look at how Rooney works on the Football field whitey. If there anyone else that works harder than him? in my opinion no.

must easily cover 12/14 KM a game in the 90 minutes and hes not overly tired after that. How many players will chase back to the left back area in the 88 minute to help is team mates out? Not many but Rooney would. Do you see Zlatan Ibrahimović do it? no.
